New Jersey is home to the unanimous #1 overall team in the country with Lawrenceville leading the way (20-1) in 2024. Lawrenceville's only blemish was a mid-season 13-12 OT thriller in which they lost to out-of-state Brunswick (CT), at home. Lawrenceville had the last laugh avenging this loss later in the season beating Brunswick on their turf convincingly 14-5. Additionally, Summit (21-2), Don Bosco (17-3), Ridgewood (17-4), Pingry (16-2), Manasquan (17-3), Moorestown (18-6) Shawnee (15-4), Christian Brothers Academy (18-6), Seton Hall Prep (15-7), Delbarton (15-8), & others had impressive seasons. The idea behind the Elite 44 Players Watchlist was to build a University-sized roster that you could split into two evenly matched teams with the state's most decorated players for an exhibition scrimmage. This feature includes every returning All-American selected in 2024 throughout New Jersey's five regions: 1 from Central, 2 from Middlesex, 2 from shore, 3 from North, & 5 from the South. Additionally, these 13 players are joined by others who may have a budding future in the sport based on college commitments, program development, showcase play, or other rating metrics. There is an abundance of international & out-of-state skill players transferring into New Jersey's high-level Prep Lacrosse market. New Jersey's grass-roots coaching & player development is rich in tradition & only getting stronger. These 44 elite players add to the Garden State's wealth of talent! The best players listed will continue to rise to the occasion & distinguish themselves while others look to emerge by the end of the 2025 season. These lineups evolve & shift as new seasons unfold. Stay tuned for continued watchlists broken down by position.

[player_tooltip player_id='14522' first='Anthony' last='Drago'] is a consensus five-star prospect. Last year, in 2024 Drago earned US Lacrosse All-American (NJ-North) as a junior. Drago carried West Essex with 52 goals & 22 assists. Drago's game is well-rounded & almost complete. He has accumulated 270 points in three years on Varsity with 178 goals & 92 assists respectively. Anthony is an impressive athlete with a major impact in the midfield. Drago is patient, letting the game come to him. Drago values the ball & limits unforced turnovers. Verbally committed to Duke.

[player_tooltip player_id='14545' first='Will' last='Pedicano'] earned US Lacrosse All-American (NJ-North) in 2024. Pedicano is an ultimate competitor and loves the game. Will is not the typical rangy pole that presses out. When it is time for him to take the ball away he can rip arms off. His massive frame allows him to box out & make a play on the ball. Pedicano is superb in transition as someone who can pull it, pass it, or even dodge & hit a lefty on the run. He scored 4 goals & 4 assists in 2024 earning 1st Team All-State for the Green Wave. Pedicano can lock down on defense & toss attackers to the ground from a strong v-hold or wrap check. Brady scored 61 goals & 25 assists as a junior earning him 1st Team All-State. Scioletti is a lefty sniper with high heat! He is feared as one of the premier shooters in the country. He can dodge for himself with his big frame but also plays effectively off of the ball to catch & shoot. Brady is a thinker on the field, holding his defenders accountable finding himself more dangerous cutting to open space, playing pick & pop, or fading backside for a skip. Finishing on the crease is something Scioletti makes look easy with quick-wrist movements that leave goalies frozen. He plays a point position in the Man-Up where he is trusted to make the correct decisions. As much as English proves to be a cerebral player don't be fooled by his size, he is a prolific playmaker. Michael picks up groundballs under his frame effectively winning the possession advantage for his team. Antonelli shows good passing skills hitting the point. Michael is efficient in using his wings & popping the ball off in their direction off of the whistle. Antonelli has a sweet reverse clamp & has the athleticism to dodge & swim through traffic. Nick can use a well-timed clock check to get under the dodger's arms. His hard slap check is extremely disruptive when the attacker hangs their stick. Voultos is great at picking up the Ground Ball & advancing it in the clear. A giant pickup for the Wolverines. Rawson consistently hitches to increase his angle or take the extra step to greatness. Off-ball Ted looks to have a hockey or box presence where he's trusted to be open even with a guy on his back. McAneney provides multiple second-chance opportunities for his team within the game. Thomas can jam the ball home catching any pass thrown to his face and finishing with ease. He cuts well off of the ball but also can serve as a primary dodger. His blend of size, speed, & strength makes it difficult for defenses to stop him. Look for this competitor to continue finishing through contact & fighting his way to the goal with either hand. Devir shows the ability to mix up his shot locations on the run & be a consistent threat with his strength.
