is a talented left-handed player who works hard to help create & facilitate good offense. Morgan’s inside-out game puts defenders in no man’s land. Finn is excellent at following the slide & sneaking into space. Finn is almost automatic from the left side where he can get over on the defense & push the ball to a step-down shooter. If you overcommit, Finn is quick to sink his hip & roll underneath creating an adjacent alley-oop on the backside. Morgan has a soft touch & can make the highlight reel around the back pass look easy.

Bound to be a hot commodity a bit over two months from now, Morgan put on an absolute show in Tinton Falls. The super slick left-handed scorer from Ontario has an incredible knack for shooting around his defender and did so on numerous occasions, including in the All-Star Game. He had a nasty cross-crease look earlier in the camp, putting together a three-goal, one-assist showing in Tuesday morning’s session. He does an awesome job of keeping his feet moving without the ball and is great at using deception to put the ball in the back of the net.

A crazy slick lefty out of Oakville (Ont.), Morgan came out guns blazing with a four-goal showing in Lawrenceville’s Red-Black scrimmage in mid-November, including a pair of pretty tallies early on. Although he’s not the type to flat-out run by his guy, Morgan is off the charts in the way that he utilizes deception and hesitation moves on his way to the rack. Like the other Canadians highlighted in this piece, his upside is so high in part because he’s still relatively new to the field game, so he’ll only become more comfortable dodging in space while applying his box skill set on turf. Stick checks seldom work against him, as he uses his 6’0 frame to elude and swim defenders, catch everything thrown his way, and finish in sensational fashion. In addition to his offensive game, he’s also outstanding off the ground and makes an impact on the ride. There will be more mixing and matching at the midfield this year since several key pieces return, but Morgan has to be an option to play a role on the second line at the very least.
