Don Bosco Prep has had a great season, with a few bumps in the road, but they came out on top for their fifth straight Bergen County title and did so with sharpshooters and suffocating defense. Senior attackman

held strong and wore down opponents with the ability to win it clean either forward or backward, and not shying away from getting involved in ground ball battles. The Delaware commit went 12-14 in the title game and was a big reason why the Ironmen were able to run out the clock late to secure the win.

has been a driving force for Don Bosco in each of the past three seasons. Scott has been starting since Freshman year, pacing the Ironmen with draw control & giving them a significant advantage with time of possession. Conte has a career 615 face-off victories good for 66%. In 2024 Scott was a catalyst for Don Bosco running the table in NJ (Group-A). Conte won 221 draws (68%) & scooped up 107 ground balls on his way while adding 6 goals & 2 assists. Scott is poised on the draw where he can create instant offense. He gets the ball into his cross immediately out of his forward move. Conte can dig & grind it out while being athletic enough to evade long-stick pressure. When he breaks initial pressure he is a threat to shoot & score barreling down the middle. Verbally committed to Delaware.

To me, Conte was the player of the game. He went 14-for-17 (82%) with an assist and seemed to control the faceoff X all night with CBA having no answer for him. He is a smart, tough player who makes the right reads with the ball in his stick, and isn’t afraid to let it fly if he has a lane to the net. He is a reliable piece for the Ironmen and has a bright future in front of him. He is 204-of-304 (67%) from the X this season.

, and he brought his A-game, going 15-for-24 (63%) and doing it with clean wins and scrappy ground ball wins. He is very athletic and isn’t a liability with the ball in his stick like some FOGOs, plus he has good stick skills and will shoot it when the opportunity presents itself.
