The 6’3 Michigan commit is a big-bodied defender who has earned the title of Lawrenceville’s top defensive player. Matched up against Brunswick’s top offensive threat, Voultos made his presence felt all over the field. Beyond his size and physical dominance, Voultos excels as a team defender, always in the correct position and making smart plays. He will be a great addition to Michigan’s defense, which is already known for its big, dominant, and highly disciplined defensive unit.

Nick Voultos is considered to be the best coverage defender for the #1 team in the country (Lawrenceville). Nick shut everybody down during their (20-1) National Championship season in 2024. Voultos is fast & forceful when playing the ball. Nick can use a well-timed clock check to get under the dodger’s arms. His hard slap check is extremely disruptive when the attacker hangs their stick. Voultos is great at picking up the Ground Ball & advancing it in the clear. A giant pickup for the Wolverines. Verbally committed to Michigan.

Voultos was everywhere in this game. From a matchup standpoint, he was bumped up to the midfield to guard Brunswick’s top weapon, Hudson Hausmann Hudson Hausmann 6'1" | M | Right Hand Brunswick | 2024 #6 Nation CT . Voultos would hold Hausmann to just one goal on the day, coming in the first quarter. The Lawrenceville ride is a major part of their gameplan, and Voultos is a critical piece of it. He moves up to the middle of the field, seeking out passes that are anything other than perfect so he can pick them off, or looking to jump ball carriers at the midfield line. Voultos’ physicality and stickwork were on display for the full 48 minutes, and in the ride, he was so active it made it seem as though Lawrenceville had extra players on the field.
