During his breakout sophomore campaign Delvescovo helped push Malvern Prep to the PAISAA state title and was named a 1st Team All-Inter-Ac selection. For an encore Delvescovo posted an incredible summer. In June he was named to the NHSLS Red Session All-tournament team and then in July Delvescovo was selected as the MVP of the Burn division at the New Balance All-America event. In short, Delvescovo should stay close to his phone on September 9th. Delvescovo is a fleet footed and athletic pole with refined stick skills. That trifecta allows Delvescovo to terrorize ball carriers all over the field and cause turnovers via heavy stick checks or crafty pokes and lifts. Once the ball hits the ground, Delvescovo’s scoop and go skills enable him to push the rock in transition for goals and assists. Delvescovo has also proven that he is a legitimate scoring threat as a trailer on the secondary break. Delvescovo is a high IQ team defender too. His slides and doubles are always on time and Delvescovo keeps his defensive unit connected with frequent communication.

The speedy and athletic Delvescovo had an impact at both ends of the field for MP in this win. On defense, Delvescovo harassed ball carriers all over the field and caused turnovers via heavy stick checks or crafty pokes. When the ball hit the ground, Delvescovo was quick to secure possession for MP and then smartly deliver a clearing pass. In the 1st quarter, Delvescovo also proved to be a legitimate transition threat when he scored a goal on the secondary break. On that play, Delvescovo raced upfield on the MP fast break. When La Salle stopped MP’s initial push, Delvescovo sat down in the high crease area. Two swift passes later, the ball was in Delvescovo’s stick, and he quickly fired a filthy turnaround jump shot into the top corner.
