<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With September 9th just two and a half weeks away, highly ranked Class of 2028 prospects are preparing to receive phone calls and texts from college coaches early that Wednesday morning.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I expect that decorated 2028 prospects from Pennsylvania such as midfielder [player_tooltip player_id='129788' first='Chase' last='Aquino'], goalie [player_tooltip player_id='171691' first='Teddy' last='Curry'] and defenseman [player_tooltip player_id='121345' first='Max' last='Delvescovo'] will be flooded with calls and texts on the morning of September 9th.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>But Pennsylvania's Class of 2028 is extraordinarily deep. Therefore, I anticipate college coaches will reach out to a slew of players beyond that first group of prospects on September 9th.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Today, I want to highlight five Class of 2028 prospects from Pennsylvania who I believe will be sneaky popular with college coaches on the opening day of the 2028 contact period.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["171513"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a8b7ee03ea1c"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Intal is a fleet-footed and highly skilled offensive prospect with extraordinary versatility. During his freshman campaign, Intal played at midfield. Then this past spring, Intal operated at attack. Yet, after both the 2025 and 2026 seasons, Intal was named a 1st Team All-Suburban One League selection. With his explosive first step and quick cut abilities, Intal (44 goals in 2026) can initiate from anywhere in the offensive end. Once Intal gets downhill, he can fire 12-to-15-yard rips on the move or charge all the way to the net for a finish in close. His ability to dodge going to his left or his right makes Intal especially difficult to defend 1v1. When Intal works from X, he is unstoppable. This elusive rising junior frequently caps off his dodges from behind the net with a slick inside roll move. Intal's ability to crank shots into the net from the wing as well as GLE is impressive, too. His field vision combined with his feathery touch produces timely dimes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["166485"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a8b81923434d"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Kupper is an electric offensive prospect who can torch opposing defenses in a multitude of ways. With his dynamic first step, amazing separation speed, and filthy stick maneuvers, Kupper can cook his defender, elude the sliding poles, and then finish around the crease.  Those same assets combined with his non-stop motor and ground ball skills enable Kupper to produce a slew of “garbage into gold” goals. Kupper also excels at receiving a pass on the wing and then cranking a missile into the net. Or Kupper can receive pass, execute a hitch move / shot fake and then dip underneath his defender for a charge to the net. Kupper is the frequent recipient of early slides. With his high IQ and field vision, Kupper is quick to recognize that defensive scheme and then move the ball to an open teammate. This past spring, Kupper registered 56 goals to go along with 36 dimes and was a 1st-team All-Berks Conference selection.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["176006"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a8b8192343f0"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Mayfield is an incredibly talented midfielder with size and speed who poured in 57 goals and dished out 34 assists last season. Those impressive stats earned Mayfield 1st Team All-WPIAL honors. Mayfield excels in transition as well as in settled action. In transition, the trifecta of Mayfield's speed, shifty moves, and ability to run through contact allow him to go coast to coast for goals and assists. Mayfield can also come out of the box, receive an outlet pass, and then get downhill in a flash to create a scoring chance. In 6v6 action, Mayfield thrives at exploding down the alley and then using his polished stick to score or distribute on the run. His ability to dodge going to his left or right keeps defenders off-balance. College coaches will also love the fact that Mayfield can bury long-range sidearms from anywhere on the field. When he initiates from X, Mayfield can streak around the corner for goals in close or push up the hash and then fire a jump shot into the net.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["177377"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":202439,"_player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a8b819234487"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">After a fantastic 2026 regular season, Smith really caught fire during LaSalle's post season run to the PIAA 3A state title. Smith poured in eight goals during La Salle's quarterfinal win over Ridley. He then netted two goals in the semifinals as well as two in the championship game. Smith's polished shooting skills, imposing size and field awareness make him a tough cover. His ability to use his solid frame and physicality to his advantage is next level. Smith can bull dodge an opponent and then dash to open space for a rip. Or he can simply back a defender down until he gets to his shooting spots. The velocity and precision on Smith's shots make him a lethal catch-and-fire threat from anywhere in the offensive zone. With his size and ability to absorb contact, Smith can also work the high crease area for goals in traffic. In late July, Smith helped Team Philly capture the Burn Division hardware at the New Balance All-America event.     </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["172529"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a8b856b15b0a"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Over the last five months, this left-handed attackman torched opposing defenses with his speed and well-rounded skill set. Warrick thrives in the low lefty spot where he can convert on catch-and-rip opportunities from GLE as well as the wing. Warrick's swift release and precise aim make it impossible for goalies to stop his close-range shots. Additionally, Warrick excels at finishing a fast break with a dunk around the crease. This 2028 prospect also owns a quick burst and serious shake, so Warrick can initiate from anywhere on the field too. Once Warrick has separated from his defender, he can score or distribute on the move. Warrick is a master at charging to the middle of the field and then rolling back to his left hand. College coaches will love Warrick's off-ball cuts, sweeps, and dives that produce high-percentage scoring chances. During his remarkable sophomore season, Warrick registered 24 goals to go along with 38 assists and garnered 1st Team All-Catholic League honors.  </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->

With September 9th just two and a half weeks away, highly ranked Class of 2028 prospects are preparing to receive phone calls and texts from college coaches early that Wednesday morning.
