Expert Analysis
Carey Smith | Prep Lacrosse Scout
During the 2026 season Kupper registered 56 goals to go along with 36 dimes and was chosen as a 1st team All-Berks Conference selection. Kupper is a versatile attackman with a quick burst, elite separation speed and polished stick skills. Those items make Kupper impossible to defend 1v1. He also creates serious matchup issues because he is comfortable initiating from anywhere in the offensive end. Kupper will easily cook the initial defender and then execute a shifty move to elude the slide before he charges to the net for a finish around the crease. He also excels at getting downhill, drawing the slide, and then moving the ball to an open teammate. Plus, Kupper showed that he can sweep across an opposing defense, slam on the breaks, roll back then fire on net. Additionally, this 2028 is an accurate and powerful long-range shooter. Kupper can snipe from distance via sidearms or overhands.

Kupper is an electric attackman with speed and dynamic stick skills. He is comfortable initiating offense from anywhere in offensive end, but Kupper is especially effective when working from the wings and the corners. From those spots, Kupper’s explosive first step allows him to beat his primary defender easily. Then his sharp change-of-direction moves help him navigate past sliding defenders. Once he gets his hands free, Kupper can crank on the run from distance. Or he can continue to the crease area and then finish in tight spaces. In close, Kupper’s extensive use of head and stick fakes keeps opposing goalies guessing. Kupper’s rapid release and ability change angles make him a lethal step-down shooter too. Because of his ability to break down defenses, Kupper frequently draws early slides. When that happens, Kupper is quick to recognize that scheme and then smartly move the ball to an open teammate.

Stashed away in the Reading area of Berks County is this athletic, fleet footed and multi-skilled attackman. Kupper is comfortable operating from anywhere in the offensive end, but he creates serious matchup issues for opposing defenses when operating from the wing. His quick first step allows Kupper to blow past his initial defender with ease. Then his shifty change of direction moves carry Kupper past sliding defenders for scoring opportunities in close. He can also initiate from the wing, get to the middle of the field, stop on a dime, and then roll back to unleash a shot on net. When he operates from the wing, Kupper is an accurate stepdown shooter too. Kupper is the frequent recipient of double teams and early slides. In those situations, Kupper is quick to recognize that defensive tactic and will move the ball to an open teammate.

Skilled with a touch of flair best describes Kole Kupper’s performance at the Inside Lacrosse ID Experience. The 2028 attackman showcased the ability to score in a variety of ways, flashing creativity and confidence around the cage. From close range, he displayed highlight-worthy finishes—including a smooth behind-the-back and a twister that followed a sharp face dodge, proving his flash comes with substance.
From the outside, Kupper’s release is fluid and deceptive, keeping goalies guessing with his shot placement. Just as impressive was his playmaking—he consistently drew defenders and slipped passes through traffic to set up teammates for easy looks. Kupper still has plenty of physical development ahead, but his skill, creativity, and feel for the game make him a name worth remembering in the 2028 class.
