The Friars entered the season needing to replace the bulk of their top six after graduating a stellar group of ’25s, leaving plenty of questions about who would shoulder the offensive load this spring. The Brown commit erupted for five goals and did so in emphatic fashion. Philly-tough in every sense, McCracken is a fearless dodger who consistently plays bigger than he is. He beat multiple defenders on several of his tallies, absorbing contact, bouncing off checks, and finishing with poise.

In the first half alone, he went coast-to-coast, cashed in off a restart from the corner, found the net after grinding out a tough ground ball, and added another on a dazzling individual effort that showcased his elite change of direction. Each goal seemed to build momentum for both himself and the Friars. But it was his fifth and final strike that stole the spotlight and slammed the door on BL with under a minute to play. On that sequence, McCracken blew past a short-stick along the sideline, fought through a sliding defender, and finished acrobatically while airborne and showcasing tremendous body control. The highlight quickly made its rounds, and rightfully so. Quite frankly, this description doesn’t come close to doing it justice. On Tuesday afternoon, McCracken wasn’t just productive — he was dominant. If this performance is any indication, he’s poised to carry that confidence deep into the spring.

McCracken possesses blazing speed, a quick first step, and filthy stick skills. From NAL to Naptown to New Balance All-America, McCracken tortured opposing defenses with his elite shooting and passing skills. On settled possessions, McCracken’s ability to get his hands free and then swiftly fire the ball into the back of the net was extraordinary. He also thrived at coming out of the box, getting downhill in a flash, and then scoring or distributing at full speed. McCracken’s ability to finish with both hands made him especially lethal while on the run. On settled possessions, McCracken showed that he is an accurate step-down shooter and a timely passer. Lastly, McCracken’s high IQ frequently produced crafty off-ball cuts that led to door-step goals.

Jamie has all the moves you would need from an attacker or middie with the ability to get down the alley, roll back, turn the corner, or inside roll & finish across the crease. He is an intelligent player who knows where to be 1 or 2 passes away, holding defenders accountable. McCracken is tough on defense showing the ability to check sticks & scoop up ground balls securely. He will run & gun in the midfield proving to be a sure handler in the middle of the field. Jamie has the skills to play attack where he can rip it from the right wing or cut with purpose on the inside. He is intentional in his movements where he can set a seal & slip before the defense even knows what hit them! McCracken will be a key piece in any offense as he continues to develop his quarterbacking & passing ability!
