Word on the street was that Ploszay was ill and running a fever prior to this game yet gutted it out and decided to take the field. Based on his incredible performance in MP’s win, you would not have known that Ploszay was sick. Ploszay’s quick reaction and fast hands produced a slew of jaw dropping saves. He made several amazing clean saves while dropping to the ground or quickly sliding post to post. Additionally, Ploszay threw his body in front of a handful of shots to make stops. During the opening weeks of the 2026 season, this Villanova commit has been a brick wall between the pipes. On Tuesday night, Ploszay’s outstanding goalie play continued as he limited a La Salle offense that boasts a host of DI prospects to just three goals. To be honest, Ploszay made a few saves on Tuesday night that were jaw-dropping, game-changing stops. He cleanly snagged numerous rockets by La Salle on the top side. Ploszay also flashed impressive agility as he executed several quick drops to deny low shot attempts by La Salle. Still, the most impressive aspect of Ploszay’s performance may have been the poise and quick reactions he displayed in stopping a handful of rebound scoring opportunities for La Salle. Once the ball was in his stick, Ploszay executed accurate outlet passes that triggered MP’s clearing game.

This past week, Ploszay was a standout between the pipes for a Malvern squad that assembled noteworthy wins over Maryland powerhouses Boys Latin (10-8) and Loyola Blakefield (8-5). Ploszay tracked shooters well and popped off his line swiftly. Those items combined with his active stick led to a high percentage of clean saves. The extremely agile Ploszay executed quick, but controlled drops that repeatedly stop low shots too. Against Loyola Blakefield, there were several possessions where Ploszay was required to turn back a flurry of shots. He remained poise in those situations and used every part of his body to keep the ball out of the net. Once the ball was in his stick, Ploszay executed precise clearing passes that triggered MP’s transition game.
