The Malvern Prep program is well known for producing extremely talented short-sticks, and Emidy is the next prospect in that respected lineage. Emidy is fleet-footed and owns smooth lateral movements as well as an active stick. That trifecta makes Emidy a suffocating on-ball defender. Additionally, this lefty has proven that he possesses the athleticism and discipline to lock off an opposing team’s No. 1 option for an entire game. Emidy’s non-stop motor and positioning skills enable him to secure ground balls in a crowd. Once Emidy has possession, he can push the fast break for his team. With his change of direction moves and ability to run through contact, Emidy can carry the ball deep into the offensive end for a goal or an assist.
