Expert Analysis
Ty Xanders | Prep Lacrosse Scout
Baxter was one of the nation’s most dramatically improved ’26s from his recruiting summer to June of his rising senior summer, a surge that ultimately sparked a flip from Colgate to Virginia. Constantly around the ball, he has a knack for putting opposing midfielders on a highlight reel with outrageous takeaway checks, yet he’s just as likely to knock down passes or jump passing lanes for interceptions. His hands and instincts are excellent, timing everything cleanly before pushing transition and shining with the ball in his stick. He’s also an asset on the wings, and Brunswick will lean on him even more there after losing key contributors to graduation at the face-off X and on the defensive end. As a junior, he posted a massive stat line that included 44 caused turnovers — and he did it against one of the toughest schedules in the country.
