Radnor’s 6v6 offense traditionally involves a slew of off-ball movements and screens that produce clean looks in close. On Tuesday night, Radnor’s offense was clicking on all cylinders, and Petrone did a fantastic job of quarterbacking that group for the Raptors. When the final horn sounded, this Lehigh commit had posted two goals to go along with six dimes as Radnor won 16-3 and punched its ticket to State College. Two of Petrone’s assists really stood out in this win. In the late 1st quarter, Petrone executed a smooth fast break give and go that resulted in a goal for teammate

During Radnor’s win, Petrone stuffed the stat book with 3 goals to go along with 3 assists. His most impressive goal was a play on which Petrone (Lehigh commit) ran off a screen, caught a pass on the wing and then ripped a low-to-low shot into the net. This lefty’s finely tuned finishing skills were on full display during all three of his goals. The Lehigh staff will love the smart off-ball movements Petrone displayed in this game. In the 3rd quarter, Petrone also dished out a smooth dime from the wing to teammate

Petrone missed the end of the 2025 season, including the 3A state championship game, with a shoulder injury. Yesterday, the lefty attackman returned to Radnor’s lineup in glorious fashion as he poured in six goals and handed out four assists. This Lehigh commit’s extremely polished catch-and-shoot skills were on display all afternoon. Petrone’s ability to sweep, cut, or drift into open space for clean looks was impressive. His fifth goal of the game was a smooth tally: Petrone caught the ball at the GLE, dipped under his defender, and then got to the front of the cage for a dunk. When Choate’s off-ball defenders fell asleep, Petrone used his field vision and stick skills to drop timely dimes on his teammates.

scored 89 points on 67 goals and 22 assists for Radnor in 2025. Finn is extremely accurate with the ball, shooting an efficient 50 percent rate as a sophomore. He also added 15 goals and two assists as a freshman on varsity for the state champion Raptors in 2024. Petrone suffered a bad break with a season-ending injury last year in what some coaches called a cheap shot that was an illegal hit. Injuries are part of the game, but he would have definitely helped RALA’s chances at defending their titles and given his team a much better chance at putting points on the board in the state championship game against the Cougars. Finn is a slick scorer who plays smoothly like most coaches’ sons. When healthy in the lineup, his lefty skill set makes the team’s offense undeniably more coherent. Petrone is polished beyond his years as he knows how to run an offense, slip into the right spots, and execute with terrific timing!
