Headlining the next generation of standout poles at Radnor will be this athletic and fast prospect with a lively stick. The most impressive part of Buckley’s skill set is that he is a game-changing force in the middle third of the field. On defense, Buckley will press out on a ball carrier all the way to midfield. His ability to harass an opponent that far from the net completely disrupts the opposing team’s offense. When the moment is right, Buckley will deliver a slap check, poke, lift, or can-opener that causes a turnover. Buckley’s GB skills combined with his speed allow him to scoop the ensuing ground ball and then streak into the offensive end. With his slick stick maneuvers and cutback abilities, Buckley is a legitimate threat to carry the ball deep into the offensive end and rip a shot on net. Buckley has also demonstrated that he can contribute on the fast break as a trailing pole. This lefty is also a cheat code on the face-off wing. His ability to swoop in, secure possession, and then swiftly turn upfield is already next level.
