Five Pennsylvania Prospects To Watch This Fall

Last weekend, fall ball action kicked into high gear with marquee recruiting events taking place all over the country. With that in mind, below is a review of five prospects from Pennsylvania who we will be watching closely over the next two months. Headlining the next generation of standout poles at Radnor will be this athletic and fast prospect with a lively stick. The most impressive part of Buckley's skill set is that he is a game-changing force in the middle third of the field. On defense, Buckley will press out on a ball carrier all the way to midfield. His ability to harass an opponent that far from the net completely disrupts the opposing team's offense. When the moment is right, Buckley will deliver a slap check, poke, lift, or can-opener that causes a turnover. Buckley's GB skills combined with his speed allow him to scoop the ensuing ground ball and then streak into the offensive end. With his slick stick maneuvers and cutback abilities, Buckley is a legitimate threat to carry the ball deep into the offensive end and rip a shot on net. Buckley has also demonstrated that he can contribute on the fast break as a trailing pole. This lefty is also a cheat code on the face-off wing. His ability to swoop in, secure possession, and then swiftly turn upfield is already next level. Last spring as a freshman, Dennis was a solid rotation piece for an Abington Heights team that won 17 games and advanced to the PIAA 2A state tournament quarterfinals. But after Dennis posted a string of stellar performances on the 2026 summer circuit, we are predicting that his breakout year will begin this fall. Dennis is a long, wiry offensive prospect with serious shake and dynamic stick skills. That combination of assets allows Dennis to generate scoring chances from anywhere in the offensive end. When he initiates, Dennis will use his long strides to glide past the on-ball defender and then shoot or distribute on the run. Dennis can also dodge down the alley, elude the slide defender with a cutback, and then finish in close. This sophomore has also demonstrated that he can sweep across the opposing defense, slam on the brakes, and then roll back for a clean shot. As a bonus to his O-mid skills, Dennis has flashed the ability to hustle back and play SSDM for a stretch. Groben is an athletic beast who excels at generating offense by getting downhill from up top or the wing. The trifecta of his dynamic speed, powerful frame and change-of-direction moves allows Groben to beat the on-ball defender in a variety of ways. As an initiator, Groben can blow past, run over, or shake defenders as he charges to the net. Once he finds open space, Groben will crank 15-to 18-yarders while on the run. Or Groben can continue his run to the cage and then deposit a powerful overhand into the net. Groben has also flashed the ability to carry the ball to X and initiate or feed from there. The power and accuracy on Groben's perimeter shot make him a legitimate catch-and-rip threat too. As a bonus to his offensive skills, Groben is a ground ball machine on the face-off wing who is a scoop-and-go phenom. Rynearson is an exceptionally talented left-handed offensive prospect who presents serious matchup problems for opposing defenses. His quick burst, filthy stick skills, and smart off-ball movements allow Rynearson to excel at all three attack spots. Rynearson is an especially dangerous catch-and-finish threat around the crease. His deep bag of fakes and patience make Rynearson impossible to stop in close. This left-hander can also operate at midfield and generate scoring chances from up top or the wing. Rynearson is a master at dodging down the alley, separating from his man and then scoring or distributing on the run. He does a fantastic job of getting down the alley and then moving the ball to an open teammate on the back post. At both attack and midfield, Rynearson has shown an incredible ability to convert ground balls, turnovers, rebounds, and broken plays into goals. Rynearson's non-stop motor makes him a plus player on the ride too. Micelli is an athletic and agile two-way midfielder who, during the 2026 high school season, recorded 45 goals to go along with 11 assists and was named a Butler County All-Star. On offense, Micelli is a high IQ off-ball threat who will cut through the middle of the field, haul in a pass, and then finish in stride. Micelli also owns a powerful and accurate outside shot. So, he can snipe corners or rip bouncers into the net from the wing or up top. Defensively, Micelli uses his speed, active stick, and physicality to provide suffocating on-ball defense. Additionally, Micelli can scoop ground balls and then swiftly turn them into transition scoring opportunities. Once Micelli gets deep into the offensive end, he is a threat to score or distribute. College coaches will love that, if needed, Micelli can take face-offs and will more than hold his own at the dot.
