Carey Smith | Prep Lacrosse Scout
Niles is a long and athletic midfielder who glides up and down the field. Tuesday night, Niles scored two goals and handed out an assist. On his second goal, Niles executed a beautiful hitch move on the left hash, then dashed to the middle of the field and finished by ripping a low shot into the net. During Radnor’s semifinal win, Niles also displayed a quick first step, poise, and excellent field awareness on his dodges. Niles flashed the ability to hustle back and operate at SSDM, too. This 2028 prospect has tremendous upside, and college coaches should scout Niles immediately.

In 2025 this athletic and wiry midfielder was key “glue guy” for a Radnor team that advanced to the 3A state championship game. During his upcoming sophomore campaign, Niles he will be expected to carry a much heavier offensive load for the Raptors. That is a promotion we believe Niles is ready to handle. Niles is a shifty midfielder who can get downhill and then weave his way through an opposing defense until he finds a high percentage shooting opportunity. Niles can dodge going to his left or his right and then finish with either hand. In 6v6 action, this sophomore has displayed extreme poise and impressive field vision. That combination enables Niles to dish out timely assists. Niles has also proven that he can come out of the box, receive a clearing pass, and then push the ball in transition.
