O’Kane is a downhill-style midfielder with speed, shifty moves, and polished finishing skills. This sophomore specializes in cooking his defender, weaving his way through slides, and then depositing the ball in the net from close range. O’Kane’s deep bag of cuts, spins, and rollbacks is impressive. He can also blow past his defender and then find open space for a 15-to-18-yard crank on the run too. O’Kane is comfortable initiating from anywhere on the field, but this junior will catch opponents by surprise with how effectively he can quarterback an offense from X. From behind the net, O’Kane is a threat to dash around the corner, execute an inside roll, and then dunk it home. Or O’Kane can patiently wait for a cutter to come open and then feed that teammate for a goal. College coaches will love the poise O’Kane has displayed under extreme defensive pressure.  

O’Kane got the scoring started for the Fords with a swift dodge from the right wing that he finished via a powerful overhand bouncer. In addition to his polished stick skills, O’Kane showed extreme poise in this game. He calmly quarterbacked the Haverford offense through significant contact as well as double teams. His quick first step caught Gilman defenders by surprise. By the end of the 2026 high school season, this stock rising sophomore should be one of the most sought-after 2028s in Pennsylvania.       

After getting his feet wet at the varsity level, O’Kane looks like he’s primed to step into an increased role in 2026. When he gets matched up with a shortstick coming out of the box with a full head of steam, the ball tends to wind up in the back of the net more often than not. He’s an above-average athlete with superb body control, possessing a strong repertoire of moves when dodging from both below and above GLE. O’Kane, whose older brother got significant PT as a Brown freshman, is incredibly crafty, smooth, and dynamic. He can bang shots from the wing, put an inside roll on his man from X, or serve as a party-starter out of the midfield. He made a plethora of plays and looks every bit of a sophomore ready to help the Fords defend their PAISAA title.
