Slachta is next up in the long line of highly skilled and athletic poles the Haverford School has produced. In addition to being athletic and skilled, Slachta owns a solid frame, an active stick, and a non-stop motor. When you combine all of these items with Slachta’s aggressive style, you get a disruptive defensive force who causes havoc for opposing offenses. Slachta’s ability to press out on ball carriers all the way to midfield is a game-changer. Once he has caused a turnover on the perimeter, he will secure the ground ball and then push the fast break. Slachta will also cause turnovers by snaring or knocking down ill-advised passes. At close defense, Slachta will use his physicality to push ball carriers off their intended paths. Slachta’s physical slides are always on point, too.
