The upside on this athletic freshman midfielder is intriguing as Golden is just scraping the surface of his potential. Golden is an agile and speedy prospect who this fall displayed polished stick skills. He thrived in transition where Golden sprinted past opposing players and then cranked on net or drew a slide and then distributed to open teammates. He scored / passed on the run with both hands. In 6-on-6 action Golden proved to be a shifty initiator who got down the alley for shots on the run. Golden also proved he could get downhill, slam on the brakes, and then roll back for a clean look. Golden flashed a quick release on his powerful step-down shots too. As a bonus to his offensive skills, Golden proved he owns the size and athleticism to hustle back and play SSDM at a respectable level.
