<p>On Saturday, Penn State's Panzer Stadium hosted to the PIAA 3A state championship game between District 1 runner-up Radnor and District 12 champion La Salle College.</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>This battle between two archrival programs from southeastern Pennsylvania was a game of runs. La Salle jumped out to an early 3-0 lead. Radnor responded with its own scoring blitz of four straight goals and took a 4-3 lead. The Explorers recovered and found the back of the net three consecutive times to start the 2nd quarter and grabbed a 6-4 advantage.</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>La Salle led 7-6 early in the 3rd quarter and then proceeded to post another three-goal streak which gave them a commanding 10-6 lead. After that scoring outburst, the Explorers never looked back. They closed this contest on a 6 to 3 scoring run and went on to win the 3A title game 16-9. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Davis is widely regarded as one of the top face-off specialists in Pennsylvania. Thus, it was not a surprise that Davis won 24 of the 28 face-offs in this contest and allowed La Salle to control possession. This Drexel commit repeatedly executed clean pick-n-pops that sent him streaking into the offensive end for scoring chances. Davis also mixed it up on a couple of draws and then tracked down the ensuing loose balls. Still, Davis's most impressive play may have been the beautiful defensive exit win he secured right before halftime. After he gained possession on that face off, Davis dropped a pass to [player_tooltip player_id='20999' first='Dylan' last='Malone'] who then went coast-to-coast for a goal. That tally was an absolute backbreaker for Radnor, as it gave La Salle a 7-5 lead at halftime. That play came just seconds after Radnor had pulled within one goal and seemed to have gained some momentum. Davis was named the MVP of the 3A championship game. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">French's monster 2026 season (64G / 20A) continued at Panzer Stadium on Saturday as he recorded two goals along with an assist. French did a tremendous job of working as a two-way midfielder in this game. His demonstrated his ability to work as a one man clear on several possessions. French also showed that he owns a few shifty moves and that he can run through contact. On his first goal, French executed a slip screen, received a pass, and pushed down the left alley. When he got to 10 yards out, French rolled back to his right, ducked underneath his defender, and then fired on the run. It was an extremely crafty move. College coaches will also love the ability to play with both hands that French demonstrated in the 3A title contest. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Saturday was the third consecutive 3A championship contest in which Goldstein has been a major contributor for Radnor. Goldstein saved his best state title performance for his final game in a Radnor uniform, as he posted three goals to go along with three assists. This Cornell-bound attackman stuffed that stat book despite receiving extra attention from La Salle's defensive unit. His quick burst and filthy change of direction moves put pressure on La Salle's defense all day. Goldstein's most intriguing goal of the day was his first one. On that play, Goldstein carried the ball through X, executed a hesi-move on his defender, then streaked around the cage and unleashed a righty sidearm shot into the net. The trifecta of Goldstein's field vision, timing, and elite stick skills produced creative dimes. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Despite going long stretches without a possession, Radnor generated numerous quality scoring opportunities in this game. Ippoldo turned away the majority of those attempts. He was especially sharp on shots that came during unsettled action. On those quality Radnor chances, Ippoldo's ability to quickly slide post to post enabled him to make Instagram-worthy saves. Additionally, Ippoldo impressed with the swift drops that he used to deny low shots. Ippoldo also tracked long shots extremely well. This Cornell commit showed decent speed on a few chases, too. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">This lefty attackman created serious matchup issues for Radnor's zone defense with his elite catch and rip shooting skills. Trymbiski, a Hofstra commit, scored five goals in La Salle's win. He got the scoring started for La Salle on a play where he swept around from X, caught a pass just above GLE, and then fired the ball into the near corner. In the 2nd quarter, Trymbiski received a pass, executed a convincing hitch move, then took two steps to the middle of the field and ripped a shot past Radnor's goalie. The power and accuracy of Tyrmbiski's shot made them impossible to stop. Trymbiski's crafty off-ball movements made him difficult to mark. In addition to his scoring, Trymbiski was a poised ball carrier and a vocal leader for his team. </p>
