Selchert is a speedy as well as solidly built offensive prospect with a deep bag of moves and the ability to pass / shoot with either hand. He can get downhill in a flash and blow past defenders or Selchert can play a physical style of attack and bully opposing players. Selchert is capable of absorbing significant contact on his dodges while still maintaining possession. When he is not scoring on the move, Selchert is firing step downs past goalies. He can ping all four corners with his accurate and powerful rips. Selchert also excels at executing a shot fake / hitch move and then gliding past the defender for a clean scoring chance. His ability to sweep across a defense and then roll back for a shot on net is impressive too.
