Brevic can generate offense from anywhere on the field, but he really thrives when he operates from X. When he is behind the cage, Brevic’s quick first step and elusive moves enable him to separate his defender and then turn the corner for a scoring opportunity around the crease. His inside roll moves are exceptional. This rising freshman can also initiate from behind the net, push up the hash, then turn to the middle of the field and rip a sidearm into the net. Brevic’s ability to dodge going left or right and score / pass with either hand makes him extremely difficult to defend 1v1. When he gets downhill, Brevic does a fantastic job of keeping his head up. So, if the defensive slide is on time, Brevic will smartly move the ball to an open teammate. Brevic’s perimeter shooting skills must be respected too.
