Class of 2028: Stars in the Making

Let's break down some of high schools rising talents. With the club season coming to an end, fall ball and varsity play are creeping up faster than ever. These boys are the ones who are ready to make an impact on their teams; they are on the precipice of greatness if they keep up their hard work.   Whether it be their size, their determination, or their footwork, each and every one of these athletes has a future in the sport if they want it.   As they get ready to begin tenth grade, it can be intimidating to step onto the big stage for the first time. However, it's important to remind yourself that the nerves you feel are because you care; it's when the nerves disappear that you should begin to worry.    With a background in football and basketball, Alberts has built himself a solid foundation. He showcases athleticism, agility, a strong game awareness, and a passion for the craft. In short, Alberts is easily a coach's dream and an opponent's worst nightmare. He is a dedicated player with a high game sense and great mental resilience, able to make the most of any situation and keep his head held high. Despite his lack of size, Alberts has a dominant field presence. With the rapid development he has shown during the past few years, Alberts is one of the better lefty SSDMs on the field.     The best way to describe Hojnacki is an absolute unit who thrives on risk-taking and creative liberties. He is a dynamic force on either end of the field, able to neutralize top attackers and adjust quickly to new scenarios. He plays phenomenal takeaway defense, making him a stand-out transition player and a great unsettled defender for his team. Hojnacki isn't afraid to voice his opinion and take command, showing strong leadership qualities.     Quickness, reaction time, power; these are all traits that Stukis carries. He has a strong outside shot, a versatile playing style that works well from many of the attacking sides' positions, and his head on a swivel. This fake and finish is, in my opinion, his most deadly weapon.     Size, skill, and scoring instinct are a walk in the park for Smith. Racking in many multi-goal games over the years, Smith has demonstrated smart cuts, great positioning, near-perfect angles from the X and wing positions, and an impressive talent for slipping past defenders for quick-stick finishes. He is known to deliver in tight games, carrying himself with confidence and poise. He keeps his head up on the field, makes quick decisions, and doesn't plant his feet. Along with that, his stick skills are sharp and he has an extremely accurate release point. Being a left-handed player doesn't hurt either.     Harvey isn't afraid to get physical. He makes great checks and racks up incredible numbers of intercepted passes thus far in his career. His ground ball stats aren't too shabby either. Despite the fact that he shines in transitions, Harvey plays a sound settled defense as well. He plays off natural instinct and hustles at times when others would back down. He is a coachable young talent ready to push his limits to the max.
