About William

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a three-sport athlete (varsity lacrosse, varsity football & basketball). Although I started playing lacrosse late, l worked hard year-round to catch up, and now play for three programs (Fighting Clams, Silverbacks, & New England Blazers). I was also accepted to the Best in Class, Prep School Lacrosse, and ML8 Five Star showcases.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am young for my age and have not reclassified. I feel this has allowed me to play older, bigger, and more experienced players in the ISL, which will only help me in the long run and bring out the best in my performance. I play wherever the team needs me (SSDM, M, A), and I am very coachable. On the field, I always want to do my best, support my teammates, and come away with the win.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I was elected to student leadership (1 of only 10 in class) and serve on the Judiciary Council.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a honor roll student at Lawrence Academy (MA) in the Independent School League (ISL).

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I am young for my grade and have not reclassified. I feel this has allowed me to play against older, bigger and more experienced players that will only help me in the long run and bring out the best in my performance.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am open to all colleges and locations.

In short, Alberts is easily a coach’s dream and an opponent’s worst nightmare. He is a dedicated player with a high game sense and great mental resilience, able to make the most of any situation and keep his head held high. Despite his lack of size, Alberts has a dominant field presence. With the rapid development he has shown during the past few years, Alberts is one of the better lefty SSDMs on the field.
