Expert Analysis
Carey Smith | Prep Lacrosse Scout
DeLacy is a shifty and versatile attack who is comfortable operating with his left or right hand. Another item that pops right away about DeLacy’s skill set is that he will patiently re-dodge until a high percentage shooting or passing opportunity presents itself. His ability to absorb significant contact while maintaining possession is a key part of that re-dodging. From a scoring standpoint, DeLacy can find the back of the net while on the run via powerful overhand shots, sneaky bouncers, or sidearm rips. He can also operate along the crease where the combination of his head / shot fakes and creative finishing moves keeps goalies guessing.

Delacy caught my eye in late October as one of the better uncommitted ’26s at the IL ID Experience, where he demonstrated his versatility and smooth dodging style. A natural attackman, Delacy does a really nice job of playing within himself, operating with his head up and keeping turnovers to a minimum when carrying the ball. He’s also a constant threat without the ball and often played off of his Ford teammates in the two-man game and various offensive sets. In a game in which Haverford struggled offensively, Delacy provided some pop by netting a pretty jumper from the hash in a highly competitive contest against Spalding. Whether it’s in a complementary role at attack or running out of the box, expect him to find a bigger role in 2025 for a team that graduated a ton offensively.
