There's a swagger about Valenti that I really like, and he's got the game to warrant it. Quite frankly, I'm surprised that he's still on the board. A big bodied-midfielder who is hard to stop when he's charging downhill, Valenti has been a member of Pittsford's varsity since he got his feet wet at that level as just a 7th grader. He's combined for 59 goals over the past two seasons, so Valenti is as proven as any '26 offensive player in Section V. For someone that size, he has excellent hands and wrists and often uses deception in his game, a byproduct of his time spent playing box. He shoots a heavy ball and can absolutely bang it from the outside, but because he's so crafty and slick, he's good for the occasional leaner and slick finish inside. I'm sure he'll have his college destination locked in sooner rather than later.

A savvy and skilled left-handed scorer, Daly is the son of longtime Tufts and Brown head coach Mike Daly, who was recently hired as Maryland's Director of Player Development. Liam plays like someone who has been around the game his entire life. He has a tremendous knack for getting to his spots and knows how to free his hands for quality takes, plus, he's super tough. Daly embraces contact on his way to the rack, hits shots with guys all over his hands, and adds some grit with his relentless approach in the riding game. As a shooter, he's got a smooth release from multiple release points and does a nice job getting off accurate underhand shots when appropriate. A natural attackman who racked up 54 goals and 37 assists as a sophomore, Daly showed well when he ran out of the box for Laxachusetts, given that its attackmen are headed to Duke, Virginia, and Notre Dame. That opened some eyes, and I could see him playing midfield at the next level.

Raphalian, a high-energy lefty playmaker, can do a lot of things at a high level and is coming off of an impressive summer. While I'm not sure where he stands with his recruitment, he got a lot of rave reviews from college coaches at high-academic schools. An incredibly skilled attack/middie prospect who began his career at Rumson-Fair Haven (N.J.), Raphalian plays with a ton of confidence and can shoot it from range at a high clip. He's at his best above the cage, but is plenty capable of making things happen off the invert. He's got soft hands, a rapid release, and a willingness to put his nose in the dirt to get big groundballs. More than anything, he makes the right play rather than the home-run play and always plays within himself. Raphalian constantly caught my eye as a sophomore for Taft, and I'd be willing to bet that he has a big-time junior season for the Rhinos.

I love the way DeGennaro plays the game. There's no doubt that he's undersized, but he plays with a ton of heart and is constantly willing to make the little plays to help his team win. To that point, he lists his '29 clears' along with his stats on his highlight reel, an inclusion that I'd never seen before but think is awesome. As a sophomore, DeGennaro put up 33 goals, 16 assists, and 51 groundballs, earning All-County honors in the process. On the football field, it looks like he's already returned a few kickoffs and punts for touchdowns, to no one's surprise given his speed and determined mindset with the ball in his hands. There's just a fearlessness about him that's fun to watch, and the two-way threat dodges and plays extremely hard - DeGennaro is the kind of player any coach would want on their team. I'm including him with the offensive weapons, but he'll embrace any role he's asked to fill in college.

Batchelder earned significant playing time as a sophomore for a loaded Belmont Hill team that went on to win the ISL championship in 2024. Always at the end of plays, his off-ball prowess shined through, as did his two-handedness, IQ, and ability to make things happen off the invert. Incredibly fast and sudden in his movements, Batchelder habitually beat his man off the dodge all summer. Even when opponents knew he was rolling back, they were unable to slow him down, and he often finished with flair. Now that several of Belmont Hill's top contributors on offense have moved on to play college lacrosse, expect Batchelder to see an increased role with the ball in his stick in 2025.
