With private school lacrosse having wrapped up over the last few weeks in Maryland and D.C., all eyes are now on the summer — a crucial stretch for the Class of 2028. While we've covered a large portion of the rising juniors since the fall, these five are certainly worthy of the spotlight and have been trending up as of late:

Beyond just looking part athletically and with his 6'3 and 190-pound frame, Chang brings a lot to the table as a dynamic offensive threat. He's a smooth operator, both from below and above GLE, showcasing tremendous vision while finding teammates via superb skip passes that often catch defenses off guard. Chang, who dodges with plenty of bounce and deception, loves to drag shortsticks behind the cage and then look to find cutters with skips, but he's also plenty capable of winning matchups and going to the rack. He'll initiate contact when necessary, finish appropriately in tight off the catch, and take advantage of opportunities as defenses start to rotate. Drawing more and more slides as the year wore on, he shot a hard, accurate ball when he got his hands free, and scored plenty of goals in big moments for 'Zaga. I fully expect him to carry over the momentum he gained this spring over into the recruiting circuit.

Colhoun is an incredibly intriguing prospect whose game is clearly trending in the right direction. This spring, he finished with 20 goals and six assists, appearing to grow more comfortable as his sophomore season progressed. Tall, lanky, and athletic, he's a true two-stepper — the type of player who can cover five yards in just two long strides. He caught fire with a four-goal outing against Mt. St. Joe, during which he scored to break a tie on three separate occasions, then scored the OT game-winner against archrival Boys' Latin when inverting behind. His shooting stroke is textbook and an absolute thing of beauty, with his straight over-the-top release proving to be borderline unsaveable this year. Coming from strong lacrosse bloodlines, his poise and decision-making stand out and will serve him well this summer as he looks to make an impression in front of college coaches.

Watching Enrique at the IMLCA Players Summit in December, he looked primed for a big spring — which is exactly what he delivered while running on the Cardinals' second midfield. He consistently found himself at the end of plays, often as a result of the hard work he put in off the ball to find seams in the defense. Enrique is excellent off the catch, showing soft hands and a smooth release. Athletically, he's explosive out of his rollback, has an excellent first step, and possesses the shake to create separation, frequently utilizing fakes to freeze defenders. I expect him to step into an even bigger role next spring for the two-time defending champions, and my hope is that he continues to develop when it comes to dodging to feed, an area where he has already shown strong flashes on the club circuit.

Knysh was someone who I thought did a number of things well in the fall during the handful of times I watched the Crabs, in addition to on film at a showcase. This spring, he snagged a spot as a starting midfielder, then didn't look back, embracing his role within an offense that had to replace a pair of All-Americans. A crafty and opportunistic lefty, Knysh has an excellent understanding of spacing and strong off-ball tendencies that allow him to make his presence felt. He scored a pair of goals in the Eagles' final regular season game against archrival Gilman, including the OT GWG, executing a backdoor cut after scoring on a rebound earlier in the game. As a natural attackman, he's strong around the goal and has a knack for taking advantage of bad approaches and putting himself in the right spots in order to be successful. It feels as if his best lacrosse is ahead of him, and I'll be curious to see how he fares this summer.

After seizing a sizable role and showing flashes as a freshman, Lewis missed the opening weeks of his sophomore season. His return to the Dons' lineup gave Loyola a much-needed spark and allowed it to build momentum in the middle of the non-conference schedule. Helping his squad mount a huge second half comeback, he was at his best during a four-goal outing against Severn, picking up big GBs and burying shots, scoring off of pretty individual efforts, and beating multiple defenders along the way. In a big win over Boys' Latin, he was responsible for netting the game-winner in OT. He's an impressive dodger who is tough to stop when he gets a full head of steam, but he's even more impressive as a shooter, showing a diverse set of release points and making it hard on goalies to get a good read. His upside is significant, and I'd count on him stepping into a much bigger role as a junior.
