Ty Xanders | Prep Lacrosse Scout
After seizing a sizable role and showing flashes as a freshman, Lewis missed the opening weeks of his sophomore season. His return to the Dons’ lineup gave Loyola a much-needed spark and allowed it to build momentum in the middle of the non-conference schedule. Helping his squad mount a huge second half comeback, he was at his best during a four-goal outing against Severn, picking up big GBs and burying shots, scoring off of pretty individual efforts, and beating multiple defenders along the way. In a big win over Boys’ Latin, he was responsible for netting the game-winner in OT. He’s an impressive dodger who is tough to stop when he gets a full head of steam, but he’s even more impressive as a shooter, showing a diverse set of release points and making it hard on goalies to get a good read. His upside is significant, and I’d count on him stepping into a much bigger role as a junior.

I came into the game having heard good things about Lewis from Ty Xanders, and the freshman stud didn’t disappoint. Defenses are giving him a short stick for now, but that won’t be for long. Loyola loves watching this kid dodge. On his first goal, he scored off a weave action while sweeping to his left hand. His second goal was similar, as he received a pass near the goal line and finished in the middle of the field. His release point is nearly impossible for goalies to read, as he hides the ball until it’s too late to react. Lewis also recorded an assist to
