About Kellan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a fundamentally sound defender, a loud communicator on the field, and have the ability to push transition out of a clear.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a strong work ethic, and I am always looking for new ways to fix the little things because I believe those matter the most. I am a coachable player and have proven to respond well to challenges on and off the field.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of TheD3Pod podcast outside of school. Within school, I am involved in the Service and Justice Committee, I am a student ambassador, and I am in the STEM Ignatian Honors program at Loyola Blakefield. At our 8th grade celebration, I was blessed to be awarded the Magis Award for Intgerity

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I like to lead by example and show my teammates my determination through my actions. I constantly communicate with my teammates how they can improve and how we can improve to contribute more to the betterment of the team. I have learned many lessons including how we should provide for others as if we would want to be treated when we are in desperate need.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The biggest challenge I have faced in my life was the death of my mother at age 10. During the COVID-19 era, it was especially hard to push through and keep practicing while mourning the loss of her. But, with an amazing community by my side, I continue to push through and always dedicate my hard work to her.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with a tight-knit community, a relatively low student to teacher ratio, and an environment that motivates me to be my best self. I have also considered the idea of attending a military academy, especially The Naval Academy.
