<p>On Tuesday afternoon, Haverford School traveled out to Episcopal Academy for an Inter-Ac matchup between two of the Top 5 teams in Pennsylvania.</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>The visiting Fords jumped all over Episcopal in the 1st quarter and raced out to a 4-0 lead. Notre Dame commit [player_tooltip player_id='23606' first='Conor' last='Morsell'] scored twice for Haverford in that opening surge. But Episcopal battled back and thanks to two goals from [player_tooltip player_id='176535' first='Darrius' last='Whitfield'] as well as tallies from [player_tooltip player_id='40420' first='Parker' last='Smith'] and [player_tooltip player_id='45374' first='Jackson' last='Orcutt'], the Churchmen trailed 6-4 at halftime.</p>

<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Haverford opened the 3rd quarter by pouring in three straight goals to open up a 9-4 lead. Two of the goals during the Fords' run came off the stick of [player_tooltip player_id='127151' first='Chris' last='Burnetta'] (Harvard). That 3rd quarter blitz by Haverford essentially cemented this game away. For the remainder of the second half, Episcopal never got closer than two goals, and Haverford eventually took home a 14-8 victory. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">This uncommitted 2027 face-off specialist with polished technique and a quick burst dominated at the dot during Haverford School's win. Dodson went an incredible 16-of-18 on face-offs while securing 10 ground balls. His ability to win draws kept the Fords playing downhill all day. Dodson proved he is a versatile FOGO who can produce clean clamps or muck it up and then emerge with possession. After his clean wins, Dodson sprinted into the offensive end to create scoring chances for Haverford. Dodson also impressed with his ability to effectively execute defensive exits. On those wins, Dodson remained composed as he tracked down and scooped up GBs while being harassed by EA players. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">On Tuesday, it appeared that Gillin was given the assignment of defending EA standout attackmen [player_tooltip player_id='40420' first='Parker' last='Smith'] all over the field. Gillin did a fantastic job of limiting Smith's touches. He also harassed Smith and other EA ball carriers with his active stick and physicality. When the ball hit the turf, Gillin pounced on it and then pushed the EA fast break or executed a smooth rollback, and then dropped a pass off to a teammate. Gillin also proved to be a high IQ team defender whose slides and double teams were on point. This Cornell commit is just scratching the surface of his potential. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Morsell was extremely impressive again on Tuesday as he poured in five goals and dished out an assist. His elite shooting skills, speed, and elusive stick maneuvers were on full display in this win. Morsell scored on the run, via long-distance snipes and by finishing in close on a fast break opportunity. His goal right before the end of the 2nd quarter was simply insane. With just seconds remaining in the first half, Morsell initiated from X, shook his initial defender, charged up the right side and as he crossed GLE, Morsell slipped a low backhanded shot past EA's goalie. The field awareness and offensive instincts Morsell demonstrated in Haverford's victory were next level. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Orcutt's trifecta of size, speed, and filthy stick skills gave Haverford's defense issues in this game. On Tuesday, Orcutt scored two goals and had an assist. The first tally was a ridiculous individual effort on which Orcutt dodged from the left wing, fought through two defenders, and as he ran across the middle of the field, Orcutt went BTB into the top far corner. On his second goal, Orcutt got downhill in the right alley and then ripped an eight-yard shot into the net while running full speed. The physical and aggressive dodges Orcutt employed against Haverford will serve him well at UNC. <strong> </strong></p>

<p class="text-gray-700">During the 2026 season, the extremely athletic and versatile Whitfield has run as an O-mid, a SSDM, and as an attackman. Yesterday against Haverford, Whitfield played attack the entire game and had a major impact for EA. Whitfield scored three goals, handed out one assist, and put constant pressure on EA's defense with his aggressive dodges. In the 2nd quarter, Whitfield scored a beautiful goal after he dropped a hitch move on the wing, then dashed towards the middle of the field and unleashed a sidearm rip. Whitfield's quick burst, athleticism, and shooting skills were on display all game. </p>
