<p>On Sunday, Hill School traveled across town to take on Perkiomen School in a matchup of two of the Top 10 ranked teams in Pennsylvania.</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>To say this highly anticipated contest was a game of runs would be an understatement. No. 5 ranked Perkiomen School jumped out 2-0 lead in the opening minutes of the game. No. 3 ranked Hill School then responded by scoring six-of-the-next-seven goals and assumed a 6-3 lead in the mid-2nd quarter. Two of Hill's goals in that stretch were scored by RPI commit [player_tooltip player_id='171355' first='Rhys' last='Dumais'].</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>But Perkiomen School regrouped and poured in three straight goals right before halftime. The Panthers also opened the scoring in the second half as [player_tooltip player_id='176445' first='Riley' last='Gwinn'] scored his second goal of the game off the 3rd quarter faceoff. Riley's extremely early 3rd quarter tally gave Perkiomen a 7-6 lead.</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Hill responded by again scoring six-of-the-next-seven goals in the game and grabbed a commanding 12-8 lead in the 4th quarter. Notre Dame commit [player_tooltip player_id='35704' first='Jace' last='Banks'] found the back of the net twice during that Hill run. That Hill second half scoring outburst was the springboard for their eventual 13-10 victory.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Dumais is an athletic and speedy prospect who operated as a true two-way midfielder. On Sunday, Dumais supplied Hill's offense with an incredible scoring punch as he posted a hat trick. His quick burst and ability to dodge strong going to his left or his right made Dumais difficult to defend. The RPI staff will love Dumais' ability to crank on the run with both hands. Defensively, Dumais was a tenacious on-ball presence who used his physicality to stop ball carriers in the tracks. His agility and nose for the ball produced several GB pickups in traffic. Dumais was a plus player in Hill's clearing game too. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">In Hill's win over Perkiomen, Gillette recorded two goals to go along with one assist. However, those noteworthy stats were not an accurate measure of the enormous impact he had on this game. Several times in this contest, Gillette (Boston Univ.) did a tremendous job of working back from his attack position towards midfield to assist on Hill's clear. On those plays, Gillette showed incredible agility and soft hands as he frequently hauled in difficult passes that were off the mark. Once he had secured possession, Gillette proved he could run through significant contact until he could find space or get his hands free for a pass to an open teammate. Gillette also showed grit and hustle on Hill's rides which produced a handful of turnovers. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">This Utah signee owns impressive size and speed, polished stick skills and a physical edge. That list of assets enabled Kastroll to be a defensive force against Perkiomen School. He caused turnovers with powerful stick checks, crafty pokes and by taking the body. Once the ball hit the grass, Kastroll vacuumed up the ground balls and swiftly carried the ball over the midfield line. Kastroll, also knocked down a couple of passes with his active stick. Still, what may have been most impressive about Kastroll on Sunday was the composure he demonstrated. Whether he was on an island 1v1 or clearing the ball or rolling back to drop a pass to the goalie, Kastroll remained poised at all times and executed the play Hill needed from him at that moment.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Smith's athleticism and versatile skill set were on full display during Hill's win on Sunday. He used his quick burst and separation speed to blow past defenders to create opportunities for himself as well as teammates. His field vision and distribution skills while on the move produced several creative passes. Smith (1G; 2A) also bulled his way through opposing defenders on his way to the cage. In fact, two of Smith's physical runs to the net drew flags on Perkiomen. Plus, Smith flashed precise shooting skills on a low bouncer he threaded from the wing to the far side of the net. Finally, this Hobart commit showed that he could use his size, lateral quickness, and physicality to effectively operate as a SSDM. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Despite the rain and muddy field conditions, this agile goalie with fast hands had a fantastic day in net. Crist repeatedly made clean saves on Hill's shots from long distance. He also denied several close in scoring chances for Hill by throwing his body in front of their shots. Crist showed an incredible ability to drop to the ground, make a save and then scramble to his feet so he was ready for any rebound opportunity. This 2027 prospect also displayed impressive athleticism and quickness on a handful of chases as well as clears. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">On Sunday, this Yale commit scored three goals for Perkiomen School. What really stood out about Finkel's outstanding efforts was the diverse ways in which he put the ball in the net. On his first score, Finkel unleashed a lefty rip from up top into far side high corner. His second tally came when Finkel initiated from top right and then ran off a ball screen which freed him up for a 15-yard crank from the middle of the field. Finkel's third goal came on a quick restart at midfield. After the whistle, Finkel raced into the offensive end, made a quick cut to the middle of the field, and then fired a 12-yard shot off-hip and into the net. Finkel's trifecta of size, speed and polished stick skills should enable him to have an immediate impact for Yale next year. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">James is a Swiss Army knife prospect who impacted every aspect of Sunday's game. This Syracuse commit was a relentless on ball defender who repeatedly created turnovers via slaps, lifts, and pokes. The timing on his turnover causing stick checks was remarkable. James also scooped up GBs and then pushed Perkiomen's transition game. His speed and elusive moves were a major factor in Perkiomen's clearing game too. Additionally, James took a number of face offs for Perkiomen. At the dot, James did an outstanding job of using his long pole to create chaos. James doggedly pursued the loose balls in traffic, secured possession with his refined stick skills, and then dashed into open space. </p>
