On Sunday, this Yale commit scored three goals for Perkiomen School. What really stood out about Finkel’s outstanding efforts was the diverse ways in which he put the ball in the net. On his first score, Finkel unleashed a lefty rip from up top into far side high corner. His second tally came when Finkel initiated from top right and then ran off a ball screen which freed him up for a 15-yard crank from the middle of the field. Finkel’s third goal came on a quick restart at midfield. After the whistle, Finkel raced into the offensive end, made a quick cut to the middle of the field, and then fired a 12-yard shot off-hip and into the net. Finkel’s trifecta of size, speed and polished stick skills should enable him to have an immediate impact for Yale next year.
