Below is Part II in my preview of prospects from the Delaware Valley (SEPA, Delaware, and South Jersey) who I believe are primed for an extraordinary 2026 high school season that should increase their recruiting stock significantly.

Jacoby is a shifty, high IQ attack prospect with polished stick skills. He does the bulk of his scoring damage in two ways. The first is with creative finishes in close. Jacoby does a tremendous job of initiating from X and then coming around the corner for goals around the crease. On those runs from X, Jacoby's ability to dip underneath the slide or slip between a double team is impressive. Jacoby also excels at working off-ball. His timely sweeps and cuts often produce clean looks right on the doorstep. The second way in which Jacoby produces goals is with his accurate shooting from GLE as well as the wing. He does an excellent job of drifting into open space to get his hands free for those shots. Because of his quick release, Jacoby is unstoppable on these catch-and-fire scoring opportunities. Jacoby has also flashed the ability to execute a hitch move and then dash past his defender for a crank on the run.

This extraordinarily athletic and fast LSM prospect has a significant impact at both ends of the field. On defense, Lucanese is a menacing on-ball perimeter defender. Off-ball, Lucanese has a habit of knifing through passing lanes for steals. Plus, Lucanese's crafty stick and impressive foot speed enable him to vacuum up a slew of contested ground balls. This high IQ pole does an excellent job of reading the opposing offense and then executing a well-timed slide or double team. Offensively, Lucanese thrives on the fast break where this lefty can push the rock for goals or assists. In transition, Lucanese is a legitimate threat to take a crow hop and then fire a rocket into the back of the net.

The first thing that pops about Shim's game is his extraordinarily aggressive style of play. Whether he is hounding a ball carrier, chasing down a GB or executing a double team, Shim relentlessly attacks every play. Yet, because of his high IQ, Shim is never out of control or position. Shim's speed, polished footwork, and active stick enable him to be a disruptive force all over the field. He causes turnovers via stick checks, slaps, lifts, pokes, can opener, and yard sales. College coaches will love Shim's elite groundball skills. He is especially adept at scooping up a GB and then sprinting into the offensive end to create a scoring opportunity. Shim's slides as well as double teams are always on point and often come with a physical edge. The upside of this versatile 2028 pole is ridiculous.

In 2025, Strohmeier notched 16 goals and was a solid rotational piece for a Salesianum squad that won the Delaware state championship. Graduation hit that Salesianum roster hard, and this spring, Strohmeier will be expected to carry a heavier scoring load. Good news, Strohmeier has the stick skills and lacrosse instincts to handle that promotion. Those assets, combined with Strohmeier's quick burst make him impossible to defend 1v1. Once Strohmeier has cooked the initial defender, he can charge to the net for a goal in close or draw the slide and then feed a teammate. His deep bag of stick maneuvers enables Strohmeier to navigate his way through heavy traffic on his way to the cage. Strohmeier can also get downhill and then rip a shot into the back of the net from 14-18 yards out. This athletic and speedy midfielder has also demonstrated that he can hustle back and work as a solid defensive midfielder for extended periods. During the summer of 2025, Strohmeier was a member of the Team USA U17 squad.

Weber is an athletic midfielder with length, a solid frame, and a well-rounded skill set. In 6v6 action, Weber owns enough speed and shake that he can get past his initial defender to create for himself or teammates. Or Weber can use his solid frame to bully defenders until he decides to fire on net or distribute. Weber is especially dangerous when he initiates from up top because he is able to dodge going to his left or right and shoot with either hand. This crafty midfielder owns a nice repertoire of spins and rollbacks that he can execute in traffic to get his hands free. His perimeter shooting must be respected, too, as Weber will fire powerful overhands and sidearms from anywhere on the field. Plus, Weber has demonstrated that he is capable of coming out of the box, receiving a clearing pass, and then pushing the odd man break.
