On Tuesday, Westtown School hosted Springside Chestnut Hill Academy in a Friends League vs. Inter-Ac crossover game.

SCHA's offense came out firing on all cylinders in this season opener for both teams. The Blue Devils scored first and often in the first two quarters as they raced out to a 7-1 lead. The bulk of that early scoring damage was done by [player_tooltip player_id='20029' first='Cole' last='Carberry'] (Brown), who posted a first-half hat trick.

Westtown mounted a comeback attempt during the late second quarter and into the early third quarter as [player_tooltip player_id='174989' first='Quartez' last='Walker-Welch'] posted three straight goals. That scoring spree pulled the Moose to within 7-3.

But that was as close as Westtown would get, as SCHA responded with a scoring flurry of their own, by pouring in four straight goals in the middle of the 3rd quarter, which gave the Blue Devils an 11-5 lead. Two of the goals in that run came from Navy commit [player_tooltip player_id='20036' first='Spencer' last='Meile'].

SCHA maintained a minimum of a four-goal cushion over Westtown for the rest of the game and eventually took home a 14-8 win.

Here's a review of the prospects who impressed with their outstanding play during SCHA's win over Westtown School.

Carberry started the scoring early in this game for SCHA with a snipe from up top. Against Westtown's zone defense, Carberry continued to crank perimeter shots into the net throughout the first half as he recorded a hat trick before halftime and four goals overall. In addition to scoring from deep, this Brown commit recorded a host of assists via his creative dimes. Carberry's high IQ and polished stick skills enabled him to smartly move the ball to open teammates for high-percentage scoring chances.

McDevitt's field vision and passing skills popped in this contest, as the senior handed out a slew of assists. His ability to manipulate Westtown's defense with his eyes/head, as well as his stick fakes, was impressive. When McDevitt was not handing out dimes, this Wesleyan commit was firing 15-yard rips into the net. One of those long-distance goals happened despite an aggressive body check from a Westtown defender.

Meile's imposing size and his accurate, powerful shot were on full display on Monday afternoon. This highly skilled lefty used his length to shoot over the top of Westtown's zone. The Navy commit pinged corners from a distance four times yesterday and posted five goals in total. Meile also showcased his speed and athleticism on a play where he sprinted coast to coast for a clear and then ripped a shot into the net while on the run.

While his teammates were bombing away from the outside, this Vermont commit posted a hat trick in the 4th quarter by working the high crease area for quick catch and fire goals. Silverman's ability to read Westtown's defensive movements and then sit down in open space was impressive. His quick release and filthy stick skills produced two Instagram-worthy finishes. Silverman also displayed a non-stop motor on SCHA's ride.

Johnson is an athletic and fleet-footed attack/middie with the elite stick skills you expect from a Canadian offensive prospect. Johnson scored a beautiful goal in this game where he drove up the hash from GLE and then turned and unleashed a lefty jump shot into the net. College coaches will also love the speed and field vision Johnson displayed in transition as well as coming out of the box. Johnson also flashed the ability to hustle back and play SSDM for stretches.

Walker-Welch kept Westtown's hopes alive in this game when he recorded a natural hat trick across the end of the 2nd quarter and into the 3rd quarter. Included in that scoring bonanza from the Hampton commit was an incredible low-to-low missile from 15 yards out that pulled Westtown to within 7-4. On another goal, Walker-Welch executed a beautiful hitch move that threw his defender off balance, and then dashed into open space for a sidearm crank. Those polished shooting skills, combined with Walker-Welch's quick burst, made him extremely difficult to defend 1v1.
