Michael Campanile | Prep Lacrosse Scout
Max Davis showed real two-way value for his squads this fall and fits that Swiss-army-knife mold coaches love. No matter where he lines up, he finds ways to make plays. His athleticism shows most on the defensive end and in the clearing game. You don’t need to slide to him much because his feet are solid, and when he gets in the open field, he’s comfortable pushing it himself as a one-man clear. On the ball, the dawg shows up—he’s a pest in 1v1s, crowding hands, disrupting dodges, and wearing guys down over the course of a shift.
The lefty could see more runs on the offensive side at Spalding this spring, especially with their SSDM spots already pretty settled. He’s got enough shiftiness to initiate on short sticks, a good feel for finding space off ball, legit range as a shooter, and the touch to finish in tight. Davis made his presence felt all fall, and for a sophomore, he looks like a guy who can earn minutes early and actually do something with them once he’s on the field.

is a dynamic two-way midfielder who consistently impacts the game in every phase. His top-tier athleticism allows him to explode past defenders, creating advantages and putting pressure on opposing defenses. That same burst and strength show up on the other end of the field, where he matches up physically, wins leverage battles, and disrupts dodgers. Max thrives in transition, pushing the pace and turning defensive stops into immediate scoring opportunities. His versatility, competitiveness, and ability to influence the game from box to box make him one of the most valuable pieces of the Annapolis Hawks midfield unit.
