The versatile Pierce has previously played SSDM and LSM for Radnor, but he now appears to have found a permanent home at close defense. For most of this game, Pierce was glued to Maryland-bound prospect Pat Flaherty and held the decorated attackman to zero points. Pierce has quick feet and an active stick, so he can cause a turnover in a flash. Or he can play a more patient and physical style, slowly wearing down his man until he makes a mistake. Pierce displays solid foot speed on clears too.
