During his sophomore campaign at Paul VI (NJ), Driscoll poured in 38 goals and dished out 27 assists. He posted a season-high eight points (hat trick + five assists) in a win over Gloucester Catholic (NJ). Over the summer, Driscoll announced that he was departing Paul VI and taking his well-rounded offensive skill set to St. Augustine Prep. That move by Driscoll means the Hermits are adding an extraordinarily athletic and skilled prospect with size who can play midfield or attack. Driscoll’s owns a quick first step and shifty moves. That combination allows him to get downhill from anywhere on the field, separate from his defender, and then rip from 10-to-15 yards out. Driscoll can also cook his man, then use his elusive stick maneuvers and cutback skills to avoid slide defenders and then charge to the cage for a goal at close range. The swift release and precise aim on Driscoll’s perimeter shot make him a legitimate catch-and-rip threat from the wing or up top.

This season, Driscoll has proven to be an extremely athletic and skilled prospect who can play multiple positions. On offense, Driscoll operated from both attack and midfield. At attack, Driscoll can snipe sidearms from GLE or the wing. This shifty prospect can also initiate from X, as well as the corners, and generate scoring opportunities for himself or teammates. As a midfielder, Driscoll can dodge from up top, get downhill in a flash, and then score or distribute on the move. His quick cuts and elusive stick maneuvers allow Driscoll to drive deep into the opposing defense for finishes around the crease. Driscoll’s quick release, power, and precise aim make him a legitimate perimeter step-down threat. College coaches will love Driscoll’s ability to drop back and play SSDM for stretches. So far this season, Driscoll has netted 38 goals and delivered 26 assists.
