During his remarkable freshman campaign, Schultes posted 28 goals to go along with 11 assists as helped push Paul VI to the second round of the NJSIAA state tournament. Last spring, Schultes recorded a season-high five points in four different games. Schultes is a quick twitch prospect with filthy stick skills who can generate offense from anywhere in the zone. However, Schultes is especially effective when he operates in the low attack spot or at X.  Down low, Schultes can use his swift release and precise aim to score via catch and fire plays at GLE. He also is master at executing timely off-ball movements that create high percentage scoring chances on the back post. Plus, Schultes is an excellent crease finisher on the fast break. From X, Schultes can use his change of direction moves and tricky stick maneuvers to shake his initial defender and then streak around the corner for a goal around the crease. Schultes has also demonstrated that he can sweep from X to the front of the cage for catch and dunk scoring chances.
