<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Below are a few news items and notes regarding lacrosse prospects from Delaware Valley:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["177760"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":212991,"_player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a9c510c02e80"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">During his sophomore campaign at Paul VI (NJ), Driscoll poured in 38 goals and dished out 27 assists. He posted a season-high eight points (hat trick + five assists) in a win over Gloucester Catholic (NJ). Over the summer, Driscoll announced that he was departing Paul VI and taking his well-rounded offensive skill set to St. Augustine Prep. That move by Driscoll means the Hermits are adding an extraordinarily athletic and skilled prospect with size who can play midfield or attack. Driscoll's owns a quick first step and shifty moves. That combination allows him to get downhill from anywhere on the field, separate from his defender, and then rip from 10-to-15 yards out. Driscoll can also cook his man, then use his elusive stick maneuvers and cutback skills to avoid slide defenders and then charge to the cage for a goal at close range. The swift release and precise aim on Driscoll's perimeter shot make him a legitimate catch-and-rip threat from the wing or up top.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["212981"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":212994,"_player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a9c545c1b41a"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">One of the best distributors/feeders in southeastern Pennsylvania has found his college home, as Flynn recently announced that he committed to D3 up-and-comer Ohio Wesleyan. Flynn is a game-changing X-attackman who can create scoring chances for himself or teammates. He excels at using a hitch and go or stutter step to gain separation from his defender. Flynn will then dash around the corner for a scoring chance around the crease. He can also dodge from X, cross GLE, and then push up the hash for a sidearm rip. When attacking the cage from X, Flynn does a fantastic job of keeping his head up. So, if the defensive slide comes early, Flynn will drop a dime on the open teammate. The combination of Flynn's field vision and feathery touch makes him a creative passer. Flynn has also proven to be a sniper from GLE as well as the wing. His ability to ping corners from multiple angles and fire crafty bouncers into the net keeps opposing goalies guessing. During his junior season at HGP, Flynn scored 21 goals and dished out 52 assists.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["200440"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a9c545c1b477"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">One of the biggest summer stock risers in the region recently flipped his commitment from Trinity to Villanova. In landing Shanahan, the Wildcats are adding an agile pole with imposing size and polished stick skills to their 2027 recruiting class. At 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, Shanahan is an intimidating defensive presence. Shanahan does a masterful job of getting into ball carriers early in their dodge and stopping the play with his physicality. But with his noteworthy speed, polished footwork, and crafty stick, Shanahan can also play a finesse game. He can pursue ball carriers on the perimeter for long stretches and cause turnovers via pokes, lifts, and slaps. Shanahan can also chase down ground balls and secure possession in a crowd. Plus, he can operate as a one-man clear. Around the cage, Shanahan executes timely slides and double teams. Shanahan's long wingspan and active stick allow him to deflect or intercept passes</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["163167"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a9c545c1b4cb"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">This past spring, Strohmeier posted 28 goals to go along with 24 assists, was a 1st Team All-State selection, and helped direct Sallies to the 2026 Delaware state title. Then on the summer circuit, Strohmeier torched opposing defenses with his quick-twitch athleticism and filthy stick skills. Thus, it should not come as a surprise that Strohmeier was recently named to the USA Lacrosse U17 National Team roster. Strohmeier's explosive first step, ability to cut on a dime, and deep bag of stick maneuvers make him impossible to defend 1v1. Strohmeier's ability to separate from the initial defender in a flash puts constant pressure on opposing defenses. His ability to dip underneath a defender and then charge to the net is remarkable. College coaches will love the high-IQ decisions Strohmeier makes with the ball while he attacks the opposing defense. Strohmeier has also demonstrated that he can rip shots into the net from up top as well as the wing.  </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["135006"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a9c545c1b518"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Watson is one of the most decorated Class of 2027 goalies in New Jersey. The Boston University commit is a two-time 1st Team All-MAPL as well as All-Prep New Jersey selection. He recently added to that list of accolades by being named to the USA Lacrosse U19 National Team. Watson is an extremely athletic goalie with a non-stop motor and fast hands. That list of assets enables Watson to cover the top side of the cage with ease. Watson's agility produces swift drops that allow him to deny low shot attempts too. The BU coaching staff will love Watson's ability to scramble out of the net and then pounce on ground balls or win chases. Once the ball is in his stick, Watson will smartly deliver an accurate clearing pass that triggers a transition opportunity. Watson is poised beyond his years and keeps his defensive unit connected through constant communication.     </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
