A member of Team Canada’s U17 National Development Team, Kennedy is an extraordinarily athletic prospect with ridiculous versatility who is coming to the Hill School from Canada. This 2029 prospect excels as a two-way LSM. His ability to swiftly turn defensive stops into solid scoring chances is impressive. Kennedy is also a master at coming out of the box, sprinting to the ball, and shutting down the opposing team’s fast break. In 6v6 action, Kennedy can operate as a speedy LSM and press out on ball carriers all the way to midfield. Or Kennedy can drop down low and work as a rock-solid close defender. At close, Kennedy’s lateral quickness and active stick enable him to shut down 1v1 isolation actions. Kennedy is also a high IQ defender whose slides, double teams, and recoveries are always on point. Lastly, Kennedy has repeatedly proven that he is an effective long pole option on face-offs.
