After a slow start, Hill’s offense found its groove in the late first quarter and then proceeded to unleash a barrage of shots on Corey until halftime. But Corey stood tall in net and made a number of tough top shelf saves. He also showed incredible agility as he dropped to make several stops on difficult low shots. Corey even took a couple rockets off his face mask and never lost his composure. Additionally, Corey delivered a host of precise outlet passes that triggered transition opportunities for Don Bosco.

The Rutgers commit had a great afternoon in cage, recording 17 saves on the day. He was seeing the ball well and capitalizing off poor shots from the opponent, also showing effort on the goal line after missed shots and very active in the clearing game. Even with the offense sputtering out of the gate, Corey and the defensive unit steadied the ship and come up with some stops of their own. Corey and the defense built some momentum down the stretch, including the final defensive stand while down a man. Making transition saves, point-blank stepdown stops, and doorstep saves, he’ll need to keep that rolling as they take on Iona Prep next and into the rest of the season.
