Back in mid-June, Kegler crushed the competition at the NHSLS White Session and was named to the All-Tournament team. His fantastic play continued here in July at marquee events such as the Alliance League Summer Championships and New Balance All-America. This month, Kegler demonstrated that he is a true two-way midfielder who can quickly turn defensive stops into high-percentage scoring opportunities at the other end. Kegler was a menacing on-ball defender who frequently caused turnovers. With his agility and active stick, Kegler also proved to be a ground ball machine. Once he had possession of the ball, Kegler’s elite speed and shifty moves enabled him to carry the ball deep into the offensive end. Kegler’s accurate and powerful shot allowed him to frequently score on the fast break. This rising sophomore demonstrated an impressive ability to change shooting levels while on the dead sprint, too.
