<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Thursday afternoon Hill School hosted Hill Academy for a matchup between two of the Top 15 ranked teams in the North America.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>For this recap we are going to skip straight to the second half because that's where most of the action took place. Hill School held a 5-4 at halftime and then scored four straight times to open the 3rd quarter. That barrage of goals provided Hill School with a 9-4 lead. Three of those early 3rd quarter goals came of the stick of 2028 midfielder [player_tooltip player_id='129788' first='Chase' last='Aquino']. Hill Academy closed the third with two straight goals of their own to pull within 9-6. The last of those Hill Academy's goals was a quick stick score at the 3rd quarter horn by attackman Dylan Sanderson (Providence commit).</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hill Academy then scored three consecutive goals to open the 4th quarter and suddenly this contest was tied at 9-9. Syracuse commit Max Kruger had a tremendous individual effort goal during that stretch. Hill School finally responded in the late 4th quarter via a snipe from [player_tooltip player_id='35704' first='Jace' last='Banks'] (Notre Dame signee) as well as another goal by [player_tooltip player_id='129788' first='Chase' last='Aquino']. Those tallies gave the Hill School a 11-9 lead with just minutes remaining in the 4th Quarter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>However, Hill School's two-goal cushion would not be enough to secure victory. Hill Academy dominated possession over the final three minutes of the game and scored two goals to tie the game at eleven all. Then with under one minute remaining, Hill Academy's Max Kruger initiated from GLE, worked up the hash and then fired a turnaround jumper into the net for the game winner (12-11). &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Below is a review of the prosects who impressed during the Hill Academy at Hill School game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Hill Academy</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["176861"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":176869,"_player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-69f54bac1cd94"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Cleland is an athletic and versatile LSM who had a two-way impact on this game. On defense, Lickers did an excellent job of coming out of the box and slowing down or stopping Hill School's transition opportunities. In settled action, Cleland was a menacing on-ball presence. This available 2027 relentlessly pursued ball carriers on the perimeter and caused turnovers with crafty pokes as well as powerful stick checks. His scoop and go ground ball skills produced several fast break opportunities for Hill Academy. Cleland was a plus player on the face wing too.   </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["166033"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-69f54bac1ce51"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Lickers notched 4 goals and dished out a couple of assists in Hill Academy's win over Hill School. His off-ball wizardry was on full display all afternoon. This Rutgers commit used well timed cuts, drifts and sweeps to find open space for easy scores. Lickers was especially effective at making cuts to the far post, receiving a pass in traffic, and then executing creative finish around the crease. His fourth goal of the game came in exactly that fashion and tied the game at 11-to-11 with just over a minute remaining. Licker's ability to play with both hands was impressive too.   </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["126861"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-69f54bac1ceef"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">On Thursday, Sanderson worked as the quarterback of the Hill Academy offense. He found the back of the net three times and handed out truck load of assists. The Providence commit was especially effective when he operated from X. From behind the net, Sanderson dodged for goals and used his field vision to feed open cutters. His ability to thread dimes through small windows was extraordinarily impressive. The trifecta of positioning skills, hand-eye coordination and shooting touch that Sanderson displayed on his quick stick goal right before the 3rd quarter buzzer was remarkable.      </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Hill School</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["129788"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-69f54bac1cf69"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Unless you have been living under a rock, you are aware that Aquino is having a breakout sophomore season. That stock rising trend continued against Hill Academy as Aquino popped off for six goals. His quick burst, size and filthy shooting skills created serious matchup issues for Hill Academy's defensive unit. The variety of ways in which Aquino scored yesterday was astonishing. On one goal, Aquino initiated from X and finished with a twister. On another he dodged down the right alley and scored via an overhand. His third goal came on a play where he received a clear at half field and then raced through the Hill Academy defense before firing the ball past the goalie. Of course, Aquino also put one on the board via a powerful 18-yard rip into the top shelf. On Tuesday, Aquino also ran at attack for a stretch, which as an interesting strategy wrinkle by the Hill School coaching staff.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["171511"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-69f54bac1cfdd"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">This highly touted freshman came to play on Thursday as Dumais registered a hat trick. Two of his goals came in transition where Dumais displayed excellent field awareness and polished finishing skills. On one of those fast break goals, Dumais caught the ball on the wing just above GLE. He made a quick move to dip underneath the initial defender and then raced to the cage. As Dumais crossed the front of the crease he deposited the ball into the net. Dumais also showed serious hustle on the ride as well as while picking up a couple ground balls.  </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
