Golden is an athletic, agile, and speedy midfield prospect. That trifecta combined with his polished stick skills enables Golden to excel in transition. Once he is below the restraining line, Golden can fire on net or draw the slide and then distribute to a teammate. In settled action, Golden’s ability to dodge going left or right and then shoot / pass with either hand presents serious match-up issues for defenders. Golden can also get downhill in a flash and then shake his defender via multiple change of direction moves. His ability to stop on a dime and then roll back for a shot is impressive. Golden’s step-down shooting must be respected too. This 2029 prospect has also flashed the ability to scramble back and play SSDM.
