Class of 2027 Maryland Rankings: Top 50 Juniors + Watchlist

In this article:
Now that we're firmly settled into fall and the first wave of '27 recruitment has passed, it's time for Prep Lacrosse to get into the thick of state and regional player rankings for the junior class as a follow-up to late August's National Top 100 release.
Although Maryland has long been considered a premier hotbed, the state produced just one five-star — Georgetown-bound lefty A/M

Eight more Marylanders made their way into the Top 100 and are ranked in corresponding order in this edition of the state rankings. There's tremendous depth, however, and it would be fair to say that the class in the state of Maryland is deeper than it is elite. Among the Top 50, 13 players are currently uncommitted, along with a slew of players featured on the WL.
Please note that these state rankings are reserved exclusively for prospects who play high school ball in the state of Maryland. Therefore, Maryland natives at schools such as St. John's (D.C.), Gonzaga (D.C.), and St. Albans (D.C.) will be ranked separately. Additionally, prospects set to graduate from high school this spring with plans to take a gap year or PG next school year and will be ranked with the '26s.
The overwhelming majority of the players featured in these rankings have been written up in detail at some point, and plenty will be featured in the coming days. In the past few weeks, Michael Campanile has written several pieces highlighting top talent in the state:
2027 Defenders in MD: Where They're Headed and What They'll Bring (10/2)
Maryland's Top 2027 Defensive Recruits Still on the Board (10/1)
Maryland's Top 2027 Offensive Recruits Still on the Board (9/29)

As stated on our 'How We Rank' page, the rankings are a projection of someone's future collegiate potential, not a reflection of their current ability.
