Nick Todd
About Nick
Expert Analysis
Niko Amato | Prep Lacrosse Scout
Balanced and lethal — Nick Todd is a left-handed finisher who thrives in tight spaces and maximizes every scoring opportunity. He has a natural ability to convert half-chances into tangible results, combining speed, length, and precision to put defenses on edge. From the low wing, Nick can explode underneath with a speed dodge, creating a clear line to the front of the goal mouth where he finishes with authority.
A varsity contributor as a freshman at Severn, Todd’s impact grew as a sophomore, consistently demonstrating a cool, calm, and collected demeanor while controlling the pace of the attack. His frame, playmaking, and finishing ability make him an ideal attacker, capable of feeding teammates or taking over when needed.
Nick possesses a fluid overhand shot from mid-range or outside, capable of beating goalies with velocity and placement. Beyond scoring, his vision and accuracy allow him to deliver deceptive, no-look passes, creating high-quality assists and keeping defenders guessing. Todd has shown the ability to impact high-stakes games, recording two assists in a 7–5 win over Class B State Champions Garden City (NY) at Sweeney Field on St. Joe’s Campus in Philly.
Verbally committed to Georgetown, Nick Todd projects as a potent offensive force who can influence games with his finishing, field awareness, and playmaking ability. Expect him to bring Admiral excellence to future battles on the Beltway in the District, dropping dimes and scoring at will.

In early September, talk around Todd — who has an older brother at Princeton — suggested he wanted to stay closer to home, so his eventual commitment to the Hoyas wasn’t much of a surprise. While Georgetown has been strong on the recruiting trail, this was notable as Todd became its first five-star commit since Ty Banks and Anderson Moore in the ’23 cycle. (Current freshmen Jake Bickel and Evan MacFarland were awarded five stars in August but had committed as four-stars two falls ago.)
Ranked 16th overall and the lone five-star junior in the state of Maryland, Todd is a lefty offensive stalwart with athleticism, skill, and plenty of attack/midfield versatility, though he’s much more likely to run out of the box. He gives the Hoyas’ class even more star power, and we’re talking about a class that has six Top 100 recruits and plenty of other promising prospects on board.

A smooth operator from Annapolis, Todd was one of my favorite offensive recruits that I saw during the fall and winter circuit, and he’s only gotten better since then. Responsible for at least a goal every game, including a hat trick in Game 3, Todd showed off outstanding stick skills and two-handedness, a smooth shooting stroke with pinpoint accuracy, and a number of well-timed cuts. He can create and score in a variety of ways, and performs with an excellent plus-minus, never forcing anything and deferring to his teammates when appropriate. Posting a goal and an assist in the All-Star Game, Todd is another prospect with attack/midfield flexibility.

A natural attackman, Todd got his feet wet this past spring while running out of the box as a middie, as is often the case for freshmen in the MIAA. He thrived in that role and showed a ton of promise while torching shortsticks due to his athleticism and savvy playmaking ability. On Sunday, he was the focal point of his team’s offense and put on a left-handed scoring clinic. Even when teams knew that Todd was rolling back to his strong hand, there wasn’t much that could be done. He does a great job of dealing with physicality and is so quick that he seems to have little trouble getting his hands free at will against poles, and he’s got a downright nasty release on his shots. Todd will be a big piece of the puzzle for new Severn head coach Keegan Wilkinson, who left his HC post at Marist in the offseason to take over the Admirals’ program.
