Althouse is a lefty sniper who recently gave his verbal commitment to Lehigh. He excels at cranking rockets into the back of the net from GLE as well as the wing. The combination of his rapid release and ability to shoot from multiple angles makes Althouse a goalie’s worst nightmare. Althouse is also a serious threat to sweep across the top of the opposing defense and then fire a laser while on the run. Althouse’s quick cuts and elusive stick maneuvers enable him to dip and dodge his way through traffic for scoring opportunities in close. As a bonus to his offensive skills, the Lehigh coaching staff will love that Althouse is a plus player on the ride. His non-stop motor and anticipation skills are the keys to the take aways Althouse causes against opposing poles.
