Before we get any deeper into April, here's a look at eight of the best quarterbacks I saw at the attack position last month, a follow-up to last week's piece on the pure goal-scorers.

At this point, how much more needs to be written about Higgins? He's been covered more than anybody since Prep Lacrosse's launch, and for good reason. Higgins has made a habit out of picking apart defenses and winning all of his matchups — off the top of my head, I can't think of a defender that has been able to limit him. He's precise and proficient at everything he does, whether that's passing, riding, shooting, or playing without the ball. All areas of his game were on display in his brilliant Tuesday outing in an 11-9 win over Loyola Blakefield, and he's been stellar just about every time he's stepped on the field this spring.

As quick and sudden as can be, Iannantuono has some of the best footwork and change of direction in the entire class. He's been fighting through a nagging lower-body injury sustained in early March, though at times, it's been hard to tell anything's bothering him. Dancing past defensemen at X, he rarely turns the ball over and bounces off contact on his way to the rack. He's also an outstanding shooter, and probably doesn't get enough credit for that area of his game. However, he's at his best as a feeder, and has the innate ability to throw guys open. Iannantuono constantly factors into the riding game as well, showing relentless effort and tenacity while attempting to win the ball back.

Maher is just flat-out different in every sense. His size was the most intriguing attribute as a prospect prior to 9/1, but it's his dynamic skill set and ability to affect the game in a multitude of ways that stands out most. Possessing snappy wrists and excellent eyes, he's incredibly deceptive
— Maher has a knack for making a defense believe he's going to shoot right up until the last second when he flings a pass to a teammate right at their ear. He's undoubtedly a quarterback, but very much an outlier in that he operates mostly above the cage and moves all over the offensive zone. He'll beat his man from X with ease, whether by putting his shoulder down or exploding past them, and has a full bag of tricks at the island. I can't help but wonder how Maher will be used at Penn, as a lot of people viewed him as a midfielder when recruiting him. However, the Quakers sorely need an alpha at attack, and Maher is exactly that.

With a game built in the backyard, Millon is far and away the top player in the class and has continued to get even better. Even when it's not directly reflected on the stat sheet, he's constantly creating opportunities for his teammates as a result of all the attention that he draws. Millon has been stellar as a senior, posting four goals and three assists against Chaminade, just a few days removed from missing the second half of the Eagles' win over Gonzaga due to injury. Sending shots whizzing past goalies, he's sensationally gifted as a shooter and just as dangerous as a passer, operating from the top of the box in certain offensive sets. Masterful in making high-level plays and calm under pressure, he's bigger than his older brother and has started to show more physicality as of late.

Everything Mollot does is at full speed. He dodges hard, rides hard, and has a relentless competitive drive that is always on display and pairs that with ever-present grit despite being undersized. Selfless with the ball, he seems to have a sixth sense of where his teammates will be at all times and is constantly finding them on the backdoor or with gorgeous skip passes. He's a formidable goal-scorer who has added some punch and range to his shot, finding the net four times to go with three assists in the Cavaliers' most recent outing against St. Mary's. Mollot is a menace off the end line, but he's shown a lot of confidence as a playmaker all over the field, doing a lot more work up top as a junior.

On track to be a five-star recruit, Morsell had a fantastic freshman season, posting 29 goals and 23 assists while playing beyond his years. A tall lefty, he has an advanced field sense and has been up to the challenge at every turn. As slides have started to come earlier, he's answered the bell. Morsell is deceptively fast and moves with fluidity, getting up the hash with regularity and shooting a hard, accurate ball. He's a high percentage shooter from mid-range and reliable as an interior finisher, and no matter what defenses throw at him, Morsell has been able to adapt his game and find a way to rack up points while making the guys around him better.

Another superbly gifted QB, Ortlieb has been the straw that stirs the Friars' drink for three years now, bursting onto the scene by racking up 49 goals and 25 assists as a sophomore. He's highly dangerous with the ball, able to beat his man off the end line or set up his teammates with beautiful feeds, but he also doesn't need the rock to be successful, evidenced by his sneaky and precise off-ball prowess. Early in the season against a grueling schedule, Ortlieb showed off the ability to feed teammates for doorstep dunks and provide the finishing himself, displaying soft hands around the net. He'll address an area of need when he arrives in Durham, with the Blue Devils set to graduate a pair of fifth-years at attack.

Originally a '25 recruit, Sanderson has been a mainstay on Hill's offense for a few years now, having dazzled as an underclassman. Unbeknownst to the media and public alike, he's been a Providence commit for about a year. When it comes to his skill set, it's hard to put it in a box, as he's super gifted and well-rounded. His vision, field sense, and IQ are sky-high, and while this isn't a one-for-one comparison by any means, he's made some Jeff Teat-esque plays whenever I've evaluated Hill. He had a brilliant start against Calvert Hall, having a hand in the Pride's first four goals of the game with two each in goals and assists. There will be a year in between, but Providence will bring in a guy who can feed it like Ryan Bell has during his tenure with the Friars.
