Below is a review of five talented prospects who gave their verbal commitment to a college program during the first few weeks of April.

One of the major reasons why Brunswick has raced out to an 8-2 record and earned a Top 5 national ranking has been the incredible play of Connell in between the pipes. Connell is an agile netminder who can slide post to post or execute controlled drops in a flash. He also possesses fast hands and tracks perimeter shooters well. Connell does a fantastic job of cutting down angles and then popping off his line at shooters. This senior is a high IQ goalie with big game experience, too. Connell's athleticism and non-stop motor allow him pounce on rebounds and win chases. Last week, Connell committed to Lafayette.

Earlier this month, Groszkowski committed to Christopher Newport University, the current No. 4-ranked team in the D3 national poll. The CNU coaching staff should be ecstatic that they added this athletic pole with imposing size, excellent speed, and polished stick skills. Groszkowski is an LSM who causes havoc in the middle third of the field. He excels at stopping opponents' fast break opportunities as well as pressing out on ball carriers during 6v6 action. Groszkowski's smooth lateral movements and active stick enable him to harass offensive players for long stretches. He also has a knack for disrupting pass lanes with his stick. Plus, Groszkowski is a ground ball machine who can scoop and then swiftly get upfield to create a transition scoring chance. On those runs into the offensive end, Groszkowski will not hesitate to fire one into the back of the net.

During the first week of April, the former Army commit announced that he had committed to Boston University. His quick burst, deep bag of moves, and elite shooting skills should make Neally an impactful addition for the Terriers. Neally can initiate from anywhere in the offensive end, but he is especially dangerous when he operates at X. From behind the net, Neally can cook his initial defender and then turn the corner for a dunk. Or he can fire a sidearm as he crosses GLE. Or he can drive up the hash, then turn and fire a jump shot. His shifty changes of direction and elusive stick maneuvers make Neally impossible to defend 1v1. Neally is also a filthy perimeter shooter who can crank accurate as well as powerful sidearms or overhands into the net.

This gifted two-way midfield prospect first caught our attention at Naptown 2025 where he helped Mad Dog National capture the 2027 division title. We weren't the only ones who took notice, because Ramsey recently announced that after his senior year, he will take his talents to perennial D3 powerhouse Salisbury. As an SSDM, Ramsey is a bulldog who provides a menacing on-ball presence. He does a tremendous job of getting into ball carriers early in the dodge and pushing them off their intended path. Ramsey will also cause turnovers via forceful crowbars. Ramsey is a high-IQ SSDM who can navigate screens as well as execute slides, double teams, and recoveries. On offense, Ramsey thrives in transition, where he can score or distribute while on the run.

Trombley is a 6'3”, 200-pound multi-sport athlete who recently committed to Lafayette after initially deciding on Air Force. On the lacrosse field, Trombley is an agile pole with elite skills and a highly decorated resume. The Lafayette coaching staff will love Trombley's ability to vacuum up ground balls in traffic or the open field and then swiftly push the ball in the transition game. Of course, Trombley is also a top-tier on-ball defender at LSM or close. His agility, speed, and active stick enable him to harass ball carriers all over the field and cause turnovers. With his long wingspan and solid frame, Trombley presents serious matchup issues for opposing attackmen and midfielders. As a bonus to all of these assets, Trombley can operate as a legitimate, long-stick face-off specialist.
