With a few sophomores — notably starting goalie Keith Chari — and uncommitted juniors like [player_tooltip player_id='173642' first='Colton' last='McAndrew'] and Sam Pentz impressing early this season, expect more Georgetown Prep evaluations in the weeks ahead.

Having already watched Behrens three times this spring— in addition to seeing Princeton's top athletes deployed in its SSDM unit—it's easy to envision him becoming a key part of the Tigers' rotation in a few years. A high-level athlete and relentless competitor who is coming off a breakthrough sophomore year, it's beyond evident that Behrens has leveled up. In addition to being a lockdown defender in his role as a shortstick, his offensive prowess and athleticism make it necessary for opponents to account for him whenever he's on that side of the field. Over the past two weeks, he didn't seem to get beaten, preventing dodging midfielders from getting their hands free and thriving in coverage when behind the goal. Behrens clears it at an exceptional level and plays under control with the ball in his stick, never forcing anything. He's hugely critical to the Little Hoyas' success this year, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him step into an even bigger role as the spring progresses.

An old school, Energizer-bunny type of midfielder, Cotton pitched in a hat trick on Tuesday afternoon. He was battling a hamstring injury that caused him to miss the second half of Prep's win over Gilman last Friday, but you wouldn't know it. Cotton, who quickly committed to Colby on 7/1, often factors into the transition game, lines up on face-off wings when called upon, and wins matchups as an initiator out of the midfield. He does a terrific job of playing within himself and playing off of Prep's stars, executing timely and precise cuts and finishing appropriately. On his first tally, he picked up a groundball, cleared, fed Han (who drew the double), and then accepted a pass back from him after being wide open in space for a stepdown. He cut to space for his second, then buried a 15-yard stepdown on another Han assist to make it 14-6 late in the third quarter. I was always a fan of Cotton's game, but he has clearly taken another step forward and is playing with a ton of confidence as a senior.

On Tuesday, Han was about as dominant as I've ever seen him in a Georgetown Prep uniform, totaling three goals and four assists, which included a flurry of three helpers in the final four minutes of the half. For whatever reason, Loyola seemed perfectly content not getting on his hands behind the cage, and the Princeton commit absolutely picked them apart. An explosive athlete who is excellent in space (which is why he's historically been more of an above-the-cage dodger), Han creates offense at will regardless of where he's operating. Facing one of the better defenders in the state, he tossed out dimes on a rope, finding cutters with feeds over the top of the cage or on the crease for dunks. As a scorer, he blew up a pick then curled around to score from 10 yards, converted on EMO from 15 yards, and then added another in the second half right off the face-off. In the past, I've wanted to see more production and consistency from Han during the spring, and if these last few days served as any indication, he's in store for a stellar senior season.

A steal for Tampa, Lutz has been a regular contributor at both attack and midfield for the Little Hoyas since his sophomore year. Posting four first-half goals on Tuesday, he's been running on the first line this year but bumped down to play attack later in the game, providing quite a spark all day after bouncing back from some early-season injuries. In the first quarter, he swept to his left as the shot clock dwindled, avoided a swath of trail checks, then finished offside low, adding another tally from nearly 15 yards late in the opening stanza. He was great both as a dodger and an off-ball weapon, doing an excellent job of cutting to space and converting a pair of Han assists in the second quarter. There's no shortage of talented midfielders on Prep's varsity, but as the experienced elder statesman, Lutz's play will be critical to the Little Hoyas' success in 2026.

Tasked with covering Loyola's top offensive player, Delaware-bound senior [player_tooltip player_id='81706' first='Bennett' last='Cook'], McGlone did a really nice job of limiting No. 14's contributions, especially in the first half. Although Cook finished with two goals and an assist, none of his points came when they were matched up 1v1. Over the last two weeks, I've continued to notice McGlone for all the right reasons: his approaches and slides are sound, his stick's always in the right position, and he's sticky on-ball. McGlone is smooth off the ground and quick to jumpstart the clear, though if there's a knock on him, it's that he sometimes gets a little overzealous with the ball in his stick on the offensive end. He made a key momentum-boosting play as time in the first half expired, making a pretty pick-off and flinging the ball downfield to [player_tooltip player_id='128981' first='Rex' last='Adamson'], who converted as time expired. McGlone's younger brother, Dash, has also settled into a starting spot as a sophomore and looks to be a promising young defenseman in a bigger frame than his older brother.
