The Navy commit makes his presence felt every possession, keeping his stick glued to opposing attackmen's gloves and forcing them out of rhythm. His high-level lacrosse IQ shows up in his slide timing, where he consistently puts the ball on the turf and turns defense into transition. On groundballs, Hines is crafty and relentless, often using his stick hockey-style to free it before scooping it himself. Add in his composure and stick skills in the clearing game, and you've got one of the state's most versatile and impactful 2027 defenders.

Vizcarrondo is a lefty downhill dodger who thrives at putting up points on the run. With a college-ready blend of size, speed, and a heavy shot, he's built to succeed at the next level. His release is particularly dangerous, freezing goalies by showing one look before snapping his wrists at the last second and placing the ball somewhere unexpected. Defenses are forced to extend their slides, as he can sling it from anywhere on the move. If you overcommit, Vizcarrondo makes you pay with his vision, threading pinpoint skip passes through traffic. His combination of athleticism, shooting deception, and playmaking makes him one of the most exciting 2027 prospects in the MIAA.

The Boys' Latin midfielder has been one of the biggest stock-risers in Maryland's 2027 class, showing out this summer with the Baltimore Crabs. He's proven he can score in a variety of ways and is becoming a true offensive weapon. His step-down shot is a nightmare for goalies, whether he's stepping to one pipe and pulling it back across or using head fakes to disguise his release. He thrives on the run, able to shoot with either hand and add a dangerous jump shot to his arsenal. Even in traffic, he can catch and quickly release under pressure, showing the toughness and poise that translates at the next level.

Malfa is a true athlete who can impact the game in every area of the field. This spring, he did it all for Gilman, running both ways on the midfield line and even stepping in to take faceoffs when needed. On offense, he shows excellent proprioceptive skills with the ball, always finding a way to gain a step regardless of how his defender plays him. He's a dual-handed threat who can rip shots from either side, while also standing out as a passer with vision to set up teammates. Defensively, Malfa has the size, speed, and athleticism to match up well and turn stops into transition opportunities. With his rare combination of two-way versatility, playmaking vision, and athleticism, Malfa has firmly established himself as one of Maryland's top two-way 2027 midfielders to watch for.

The recent Navy commit has the skills, athleticism, and smarts to carve out a bright future at the next level. He's reliable in the clearing game with a strong stick and scoops up groundballs like a vacuum, turning defensive stops into instant transition. What really separates Mahanti is his lacrosse IQ. He makes high-level plays without overcommitting, showing an advanced understanding of defensive schemes and slide packages. His angles and timing are consistently on point, creating turnovers and limiting opportunities for opposing offenses. When the game is on the line, Mahanti is the type of player who delivers, whether it's a critical run-out, a contested groundball, or a clutch last-second clear. His combination of intelligence, poise, and playmaking makes him one of the most reliable rising junior defenders in the area.

A true two-way force, Behrens has quickly established himself as one of the top midfielders in the 2027 class. On the offensive end, he blends strength, speed, and sharp change-of-direction to consistently generate separation. His step-down shot is heavy and accurate, and he can vary his release points to keep goalies off balance.Where Behrens really separates himself is on the defensive side. Earning time as a short-stick defensive middie for Georgetown Prep as just a sophomore speaks volumes to his ability. He plays with quick feet and a physical edge, jamming dodgers and cutting off their preferred lanes. That combination of offensive firepower and defensive toughness makes Behrens one of the most valuable— and versatile— midfielders in the DMV.
